Probably the worst brisket ever. Super dry with zero smoke flavor. Bean’s are bland, nothing added. Reminds me of van camps. Corn bread had 1/2 teaspoon of the famous walnut butter, again nothing special and very skimpy. Extra butter is $2.11 for 2 oz. Couldn’t stomach the brisket, zero marbling just plain nasty dry. Threw it away. I know brisket and this is nasty dry. Definitely ranks at the bottom, I’ve had brisket over 200 times in my life and this ranks around the bottom. 1 – 200, I give this the bottom 200

From the host to the server it was pure joy and professionalism. Friendly & efficient. The combos (2&3meat) were delicious. Brisket tender and juicy. Chicken nicely done and very flavorful and moist. Ribs more incredibly tender and full of flavor. Pulled pork also tasty. Baked beans had a very unique flavor from what I normally have tasted but they were absolutely incredible IMHO. We definitely Plan on going back.

Wonderful experience and bbq! The Smoked sausage and Pulled pork were amazing. The corn bread could have made a meal by itself. Friendly staff made us feel right at home.

We were excited to try this place with all the good reviews and we’re big fans of good bbq. The restaurant was clean and the service was nice. Unfortunately, the first impression of the food was a big miss.

We ordered dinner to-go. We got the chicken, pulled pork, and ribs. For our sides, we got the x4 plus corn bread…which we paid for but did not get the cornbread. The sides were also smaller than anticipated but if the meat was good we’d accept the sizes just fine. We also would have also callled about the missing corn bread.

The major disappointment was the meat. It was all very dry and was definitely not “made today” as advertised. The chicken had that same smell that you get from leftover turkey. The pork was very dry as well and seemed to just be reheated. The ribs were not as bad…but “not as bad” isn’t what we want from a new BBQ favorite. I would rather this place had told us they ran out if this was the problem to get quality. None of the meat had a smokey flavor that you’d expect even as leftovers.

I am uploading photos of the meat we received and you can judge for yourself. I suspect with all the good reviews that there is much better potential than what we saw our first, and probably last, visit.

Big disappointment this time there. Was there Sunday, Dec 14, 2025

Told they were out of ribs, but if you took a combination plate you could get three ribs.

Also, no salads either: had to take coleslaw.

Also, no French frys, had to take mashed potatoes.: which did not come when order was delivered.

OK, ordered the ribs and chicken combo.

When our meals came, the order delivered was not right.

We (3) ordered mashed potatoes, but received macaroni and cheese. Had to wait a few minutes more to get that.

Next, the ribs were a bit over done and the chicken was way over done.

We have been there many time (going when you were behind the gas station) and all was good: what we wanted was available, cooked properly, received properly and tasted good.

What went wrong this time?

Not a pleasing and satisfying experience.

May try again in the future to see if things are better: as I really like BBQ ribs.

Sorry to have to report this.

Wow! The brisket and pulled pork was outstanding! First, the appetizer of fried green beans was suggested by our server. We are so glad she told us about them. They were crispy and so delicious! What a way to eat vegetables! We ordered a brisket sandwich & waffle fries; burnt ends, a bowl of gumbo; pulled pork sandwich with fries. We spent the last 5 months in Texas eating lots of brisket, but this brisket and pulled pork was even more tender and so much tastier! The smoke flavor was unbelievably delicious ! There were 4 fantastic sauces to add to the meats, wish they sold those by the gallon, they were that good. And our server, Heidi, went above and beyond attentive. She was friendly, prompt, and very professional. Truly an asset to this BBQ restaurant. The band played gentle, but lively music. Out of the Blue was their name, I believe. Can’t wait to come back here again. Next time we’ll bring friends.

We liked it here. We got the dry ribs and added our sauce. I liked the mustard sauce the best. The cornbread was moist and delicious with the yummy butter dripping on it. The collard greens were the best I’ve ever had. We even took some home with us because I knew I’d be having a craving for them later. I could have even made my entire meal with a big ole plate of them and nothing else. Although….well…THE RIBS. Our ribs were all meat…thick and deliciously seasoned just right. Perfect actually. The draft beer selection delighted me and had lots of creative choices. Good job to whoever orders the beers. This was our first time there but won’t be our last. I just love it when we jump into a new place and it turns out to be this great. (It was also highly recommended by a local lady down the ways whose roadway shoulder near her house we quietly pulled off into while we were safely googling for ‘ribs’ in the area and she came out to see who the heck we were…ha ha…..really friendly people in these there part of the woods we found out…who like ribs too and didn’t steer us wrong.)
