The experience here was Amazing!! it’s one of my favorite restaurants even tho i’ve been there once, the food was amazing to the point that my boyfriend and i ordered some plates twice! Our server made our experience even better! the view was incredible as well and the drinks were on point! If you’re visiting Tampa please go try it out!! I think they go by reservations even though we didn’t have one we had an amazing spot with a great view

During our short visit to Tampa, we were looking for a rooftop spot for dinner and came across this place. It looked very elegant and beautiful, so we decided to give it a try. Even though we arrived without a reservation, they were still able to seat us inside. We originally wanted to sit outside, but it wasn’t an issue at all they gave us a table with a lovely view of the city, which we really enjoyed.
Both the food and the drinks were excellent, and the service was very friendly and quick. Our server, whose name I unfortunately can’t remember, was impeccable and recommended some great dishes that we truly loved.
Overall, everything met our expectations, and we left very happy with the entire experience.

Beautiful place to have drinks & and watch the sunset. Our waitress was so nice & efficient. The drinks were pricey but very comparable to the other places nearby. This was the first place we didn’t feel like we were getting ripped off for the value. For reference, we are staying at The Edition.
The espresso martini was ok but the old fashioned was so good we got two. 🙂

I enjoyed the food and the octopus was my absolute favorite!!! I still think about the octopus plate.
*My family on the other hand wanted to order pizza lol.
Loved the views and the small plates here are genuinely worth trying. Very talented chefs and I enjoyed it very much. Best enjoyed by people who drink (I don’t drink but I heard the drinks are very good).
Recommendations
Make a reservation and try to get there right before sunset. It is gorgeous.

Visited Beacon Rooftop for a drink. The view was absolutely amazing.. definitely one of the best parts of the experience. My drink was good, but unfortunately, the service really missed the mark. Our server was rude and even raised their voice, which made things uncomfortable. Beautiful spot, but the service needs improvement.

The drinks were very good and the food was good as well, but she just can’t beat the view from this rooftop lounge. It makes it all worth it. We really enjoyed the food we had especially the scallops. Service was a little bit slow though so take that into account. We were there celebrating my wife’s birthday and their specialty cake was good and the cappuccinos with macaroons were incredible.

Your drink/ food price here is essentially the cover charge for the views. While yes, my vodka drink here was delicious, I am coming for a little bit of a punch but felt more sober after. Watered down would be a compliment. Overall, you should know what to expect here. For Tampa rooftops, I feel the Edition’s rooftop bar while on a much lower floor is the better vibe and is certainly less crowded for the rooftop bar overpriced drinks scene. Would return but of course only for the views. If you really just care about the ambience, just come for a beer they’re about $10 and call it a day.

I wrapped up an informal walking tour of Ybor with two friends by hopping on the free TECO trolley and riding over to Beacon, finishing the night at the rooftop bar. It was the perfect finale to an evening of food and drink, with a tremendous view and a beautifully made cocktail. Even on a Thursday night there was still space, and we were seated at an excellent table right by the railing.
Benergy was our server and he was outstanding. He struck the right balance of attentiveness and easy confidence, offering thoughtful recommendations that showed he really knows this menu and has spent time with the drinks. His guidance helped us land on exactly the right choices to close out the evening.
I ordered a mezcal cocktail that was delicious, strong, and wonderfully balanced. I couldn’t tell you what it was called, but I did manage to get a picture before settling in with it.
Beacon is a true pleasure on a clear night. Sunset would have been ideal, but in January the sun is long gone by the time you arrive, leaving the Tampa skyline glowing like a constellation. It’s a memorable way to end a night in Ybor.
