I don’t know where to start, one of the best all around dining experiences of my life. Started with the toasted marshmallow espresso martini which I had to try three of to confirm how delicious they were. Then me an my two friends order the octopus, lamb meatballs, and bone marrow. Rarely does every appetizer hit but these were all out of the park home runs. For the entree I got the roast chicken, and my friends got the two different duck entrees and a takeout container was not necessary. The vibe and service was just as good as the food, we also had the chance to talk with the owners father who gave us some background on the operation and overall just a very friendly environment with unbelievable food, and not very expensive for the value. I will be back again!

Lovely meal, farm to table establishment with friendly, attentive staff.

Lots of GLUTEN FREE options. Big menu with twists on classic dishes. Surprisingly big portions (even the small plates). Carrots were perfect. Octopus was cooked nicely with a piquant red sauce and a potato pancake. The Wagyu steak was only ok for the price. The menu only has aioli marked on some dishes but not all. If you don’t like it, make sure you let them know before you order. Tables were small for the dishes so ask your server to slow the process of bringing out each course.
We had the Pavlova for dessert and it was amazing. We shared a bottle of wine and since we didn’t finish it, we could take the rest home. We didn’t have cocktails but we heard that they were amazing.

I think everyone in town has heard amazing things about Beacon Grille. I live just a block away, but it’s not exactly in our price range. We had a really late lunch Saturday and decided it was a good opportunity to try their late night menu for dinner…and opting to takeout makes it even more our speed.

It worked out perfectly!! The late night menu starts at 10 pm. It offers most of their starters from the dinner menu, a small plate or two also on their regular menu, several different pizzas and a couple handhelds…and two desserts. There’s plenty to choose from!

We ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza, pork belly banh mi (star of the show), fries and the chocolate hazelnut torte. Everything was perfection! Possibly the best restaurant food I’ve had since moving here six years ago.

The prices reflect the quality of the ingredients, the care that they put into preparing everything, and how delicious it is! I’m always griping about restaurant prices and quality of food here in Buffalo…that didn’t even come close to being an issue with Beacon Grille. Everything was worth every penny!

I want to go into great detail about each dish, but I don’t want a TLDR situation. But trust me, it is worth it.

Sampling the late night menu definitely inspired us to save up to actually eat in for dinner. I know we won’t be disappointed! It’s very exciting!

I had the pleasure of visiting Beacon Grille on Allentown recently with my friend Shelby, and it was one of those nights that reminds you why neighborhood restaurants matter. We sat at the bar and were looked after by Drew — a music engineer moonlighting as a bartender — who was thoughtful, genuinely attentive, and seemed to know exactly when to check in or leave us to our conversation. The energy at the bar was warm and easy; people were joking with staff, greeting neighbors, and the whole room felt like someone’s living room — in the best possible way.

The space itself is cozy and tasteful: exposed beams, a clean-lined wood-fire kitchen at the back, an intimate bar, and a layout that feels both inviting and intentional. There’s an open-fire focus to the cooking that lends a smoky depth to the menu and a theatrical hum to the dining room — you can see the action and smell the char as food comes off the flame.

What really makes Beacon Grille stand out is the menu and beverage program. The food leans seasonal and farm-forward with a wood-fire technique at its center; expect small plates and house-forward entrees that highlight local produce and creative proteins. Think charred octopus, smoked duck, pork chops, and hearty mains like rib-eye alongside thoughtfully prepared vegetable sides — dishes that read like elevated comfort food with an open-fire signature. A few local write-ups and menus point to those exact kinds of items as crowd favorites.

The cocktails and spirits are as considered as the food. Beacon’s cocktail program is inventive and the bar carries a robust bourbon and spirits selection (there’s a long list of bourbons and single-barrel options behind the bar if you’re into that), plus creative craft cocktails and a well-curated wine list to match the menu. If you like cocktail theater or a serious whiskey selection, you’ll be right at home.

One of my favorite parts of the night was the neighborhood storytelling — we met Norm, a longtime Allentown regular who’d just turned 78 and had a million little local stories to share. That kind of genuine locality — regulars who know the staff, the walk-in faces, the shopkeepers on Allen Street — is exactly what gives Allentown its charm, and Beacon fits right into that fabric. Sitting there, hearing Norm talk about the block, the shops, and the history of the street, you felt plugged into a community rather than just a meal.

All told, Beacon Grille is a strong addition to Allentown — great food, a thoughtful beverage program, and that rare combination of design, warmth, and genuine neighborhood character. I left already planning to bring my wife back for a proper dinner and a night with live music. Highly recommended if you’re looking for elevated, wood-fired cooking and a bar that actually feels like the heart of the room.

I met family at Beacon Grille while in town on business and the entire experience was fantastic!! The food was out of this world and so were the cocktails. The server was very attentive and checked on us often. The chef, Dustin, came out to check how everything was and made recommendations for dessert. I’m so glad he did because I tried things I would not have ordered and each one was delicious (none of us could decide so we tried a bunch and our table shared). Everyone loved their meal and I’m convinced you can’t go wrong with anything you order here. The ambiance was great for catching up with family but I could also see this being a romantic spot for a date night too. You can tell the entire staff gets along and treats each other like family which also created a great atmosphere. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town and I’m still dreaming about those desserts!!

My husband and I celebrated our 37 Anniversary and enjoyed the meal the drinks the atmosphere and the service. The charred octopus was tender and tasty and the wagyu, we were lucky to have, cooked to perfection. TY Julie and chef.

I attended a Soul Series at Beacon Grille that involved yoga, a sound bath, and brunch. I was pleasantly surprised that the food had much more of an upscale feel with great presentation. When asking for coffee I did not expect a properly made high quality coffee beverage but it was phenomenal and coffee house quality. The event itself was well run, comfortable and efficient. I’d love to come back to dine here and would absolutely attend more events.

The fooooood is sooooo good I briefly considered moving in.
The cauliflower? Absolute rockstar. Standing ovation material.
The cassoulet was a touch enthusiastic with the salt shaker, but still brought the comfort.
The sauce reduction with a cheeky splash of caramel? Very cool fusion vibes. Like it studied abroad and came back with stories.
The Tarbais beans were a bit petite compared to the majestic southwest-of-France specimens we’re used to. But hey, small beans, big personality.
And the mango dessert? Beautifully balanced. The coconut shows impressive restraint, it’s there, but it’s not trying to hijack the whole tropical conference.
Long live Beacon Grille. May our forks meet again soon.

If you are looking for a fabulous place to try old favorites with a twist. This is it! The restaurant is small and perfect. Service was superb, drinks were on point, and the food was to die for! My friend and I split the pork chop, collard greens, and grits, and we still took food home! The owners have something really special here. I would highly recommend coming to the Beacon Grill!

We had a wonderful dinner at Beacon Grill in Buffalo!

To start, the focaccia was outstanding — huge, warm, delicate, and buttery, served with a rich Koji butter that added a subtle umami touch.

The roasted red and yellow carrots were beautifully done — tender and sweet, resting on a sauce with honey-like notes. A truly balanced and elegant dish.

The white fish (likely sea bass) was perfectly cooked — flaky and tender — served on a bed of risotto with green peas. Every bite was harmonious and well-seasoned.

A special shout-out to our server Chloe, who was warm, attentive, and absolutely lovely. We got the sense that the whole team works well together and genuinely enjoys what they do — and it shows.

We chose to sit outside on the patio for a quieter experience, but the lively indoor atmosphere also looked great — perfect for another day when you’re in the mood for a more energetic vibe.

And one last note: the restroom was clean and smelled fresh, which to me is always a sign that the place truly cares about the little things.

Highly recommend!
