Oh my goodness! We went in for breakfast, not really expecting much…then the food arrived and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I ordered biscuits and gravy, and my husband ordered corn beef hash with grits and scrambled eggs! We cleaned our plates! Sooo freaking good! We will definitely visit again!

It’s essentially a restaurant in an old house which wasn’t the best, but also wasn’t that bad.

We got breakfast, and it came out quick and was delicious. My breakfast bowl was a little bit different than a normal breakfast bowl. It came with the sausages on top, which ended up being just fine. The cheese and hash browns blended nicely together, and it hit the spot. It was delicious, and I’d definitely order it again.

stopped by here when visiting yorktown, the staff was very welcoming and kind! The owner was very helpful and stopped by our table frequently to check up on us. one of the ladies also gave us a refill because our food was taking a little while. the food was a little salty, but overall we really liked it here!! 감사합니다 🙂

My only regret is not finding this place sooner !!! Absolutely delicious food, the waitress was delightful and attentive, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The military/historical Yorktown/American decor gives a deep sense of love and honor for our country and our local history. The restaurant is very clean, including the bathrooms. We, a parry of six, had the bugogi (more like stir-fry, but still delicious), blts, the beachcomber breakfast, and hamburger steaks. Everything was cooked perfectly, lots of flavor, steaming hot, and delivered to the table in a timely manner. We are very impressed and can’t wait to go back !!

Regulars here, they learn your favorite order like a good old time diner. The good is to die for. Biscuits and Gravy and probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Wait staff is super nice and the cook sure knows what she is doing

We are locals who have lived in Yorktown for the past 5 years and always driven by this place but have never tried it so today we went in for lunch. Nice small restaurant converted out of a house. Wife and I ordered two cheeseburgers and fries. Both were good but like backyard on the grill good not gourmet food good. Fries were basic straw type like you would purchase from the grocery freezer section. Side salad was very small and basic. Very basic. My 4 y/o daughter ordered a small grilled cheese with chips that I ended up eating because she just wasn’t hungry. We had 1 coke, 1 chocolate milk and a water. Our bill was $44.60. For that price I could have just eaten at the Yorktown Pub on the beach down the road. This was a $25 meal in my opinion. Very basic meal. Nothing special. I did enjoy it but not at that price point. Again, for the money I could get a lot more at a venue like Texas Roadhouse for the same amount.

Here’s what I love about Beachcomber: It’s a humble, family-run restaurant where customers are warmly-welcomed and remembered. I bring my 92-year-old mother here about once a month, and Samantha, the proprietor, always remembers her and immediately brings her a mug of hot water, which mom needs to swallow her food (Samantha refills mom’s hot water without waiting for her to ask, showing that she cares about her customers). We are a bit fussy, and they always accommodate our requests – bacon, extra crispy; omelet, well-done, etc. Each item is individually made to order and brought out piping hot. They also have some Korean dishes, which I’m eager to try. As for the dining room atmosphere, it’s a cozy, nautical-themed room, spotlessly clean and SMOKE-FREE. Well, it’s a tradition now for me to take mom here, and she’s always so happy afterwards.

While the food is very tasty, and service is fine, there are no warm fuzzies. We have been there several times, and the new owner has not made any effort to make conversation, nor does the bar staff. We sit there like bumps on a log. Other than a couple friendly patrons willing to engage in conversation now and then, the place is a total bore. It has so much potential. Customer service should be a priority.
