I was just slightly underwhelmed with this. For all the lovely trapping the Beach Plum empire brings, this didn’t really move me. The coffee was just La Colombe. Which is fine. But boring. My latte tasted a little like someone didn’t know how to use the espresso machine. The baked goods were delightful and the overall atmosphere was incredible. It’s a fun space. But I was bummed about the coffee.

Nice coffee shop with various pastries. Came here looking for a donut which they currently don’t sell anymore. Enjoyed the crumb cake and my partner enjoyed a scone as well. Little bit of a wait as the 2 baristas could have used a 3rd for the rush. Good coffee. Would recommend.

Great option for a quick break between shopping excursions. Enjoyed a large hot chocolate ($5.50) with whipped cream prior to walking through all the stalls. There were quite a few food options but we only tried the hot chocolate, for us it seemed more like steamed milk than cocoa (still enjoyable!).

Yummmm! Cold brew late on tap, and nice tea selections. The bakery items are so delicious. Really enjoyed the chocolate croissant and pumpkin chocolate chip cake/bread. There’s also some baked good, jarred sauces and salsas, and tea for sale night next door.

The Beach Plum Bakery and Cafe offers some delicious drinks and absolutely delicious baked goods! The staff were very fast and friendly in getting our orders to us. The muffins and cookies were fantastic! The Cafe is located inside the West End Garage so be sure to shop around while stopping in for a drink!

Farm to table food! Absolutely delicious frittata and my husband got a egg and sausage sandwich. Quaint little place. That is quiet and peaceful to eat at little picnic tables amongst the gardens.
The shop has all kinds of fresh produce, farm fresh eggs and meats. Off the beaten path, but so cute.

Best cappuccinos and iced coffee in Cape May. The gluten free oatmeal raisin cookies are insanely good. I wish I bought a bunch to take home. Love how dependable this place is. When we are in Cape May, we stop here multiple times a day. Staff is delightful. Prices are similar to NYC prices.

Rhubarb cake was so good – we ate one, and carried one all the way back to New York City ! The lady chef who made the cake happened to be at the front door, with angelic smile and amazing grace. “She looks like a fairy”, said my daughter. The artsy store, cute museum atmosphere, elite coffee aroma, elfish cookies (the friendly bakery girls let us have a plate of samples!), all left us a wonderland impression. I visited Beach Plum Farm Café during my first trip to Cape May and, unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered a scone and a raspberry blueberry muffin. Both items lacked flavor, and when I broke open the muffin, I was surprised to find it completely devoid of berries.
I politely asked the young woman working whether this was typical, and her response was unexpectedly rude. She told me, “they’re all different,” and when I still looked confused, she curtly asked if I just wanted another one. While I did accept her offer and the second muffin did contain fruit, there was no graciousness in the exchange—no apology, no friendliness, just the replacement handed over without a word.
Given the setting and reputation, I had high hopes for this stop, but the lack of flavor in the baked goods paired with the poor customer service left a bad impression. Cape May itself was wonderful, and I look forward to returning—but I can honestly say I won’t be returning to Beach Plum Farm Café.
