Our dinners were the Prix Fixe and the BH Trio.
Every course of the Prix Fixe was a delight from the prosciutto wrapped date to the main selection of short ribs was a taste extravaganza. The seafood trio was outstanding scallops, grilled shrimp and grilled fresh fish. The finishing touch was the dessert of maple cocoa chesecake…superb. Overall a delightful dining experience in a beautiful location.
To start, we ordered the Crispy Calamari and the Roasted Brussels Sprouts. The calamari was fried perfectly—light and crispy—and the sprouts had a great char and flavor.
For our entrees, we split the Misoyaki ‘Butterfish’ (Black Cod) and the Catch of the Day (Red Snapper).
The Black Cod lives up to the hype; it was incredibly rich, buttery, and the glaze paired perfectly with the black rice.
The Red Snapper was equally impressive. It was cooked beautifully—moist and flaky—and served with a delicious creamy sauce that tied everything together.
The cocktails were refreshing and not overly sweet. If you are looking for fresh, high-quality seafood and great service, I highly recommend booking a table here!
They had a wonderful kids menu – one of the best I’ve never seen! Clean, healthy, filling and a fun dessert at the end.
They had gluten free options that were great! Nachos, fish tacos, and Brussel sprouts, salmon, etc. very happy with finding this beautiful gem!
The service and pace were just off. Plenty of open tables but not available, no reservations, but a table will be ready “in 15 minutes”. 15 becomes an hour, etc, etc. They called us back (in our room at this point) because they’re “clearing a high top for us”. High tops, especially near the bar, aren’t ideal for kids, and they’ve seen us 3 times already. After sitting us down at a table too high for the kids, it seemed that they really wanted us in & out, including bringing them a set dinner before we even started ordering. No poke, sashimi, or choices for kids that night, apparently. The plate person was unreal… After the third time, we were ready for a plate to be taken as soon as someone reached for their last bite. After all that hustle, everyone is gone during desert time, which was part of the kid’s set menu. When finally pau, no one is around to grab a check. They’ve done better.
