I can only comment on the seafood market side of things. Their products are always fresh and it’s now the second summer season I’ve purchased from them. Grouper was amazing, clams were sweet, and the oysters which we shucked ourselves were delicious.

This was a very pleasant surprise. It was late, we were hungry, but we wanted real food and high quality. We couldn’t get a reservation anywhere in Beach Haven. We were just driving by and saw folks eating outside so we pulled in.
They have a beautiful menu and also fabulous daily specials. You order at the counter and take your food to the table yourself when they call your name to let you know that it’s ready.
So… Wow… Superbly cooked fresh fish. Served takeout style. This is the real deal. Stunningly good. Salads, appetizers, the fish we ordered… Just fabulous… Keep this place hopping and go.
Thanks for a wonderful dinner… We will be back!

I may be the only person who goes in search of a good burger at place that specializes in fish, but when you hear they have THE BEST burger on LBI, challenge accepted. And this was a winner. Cooked to thick and juicy perfection, the burger was a combination of brisket, chuck and short rib. Ordinarily, I would take any one of those by itself, but combined did make for an amazing burger. And currently, I will rank it as the best I have had on the island. The fries were a great complement to this gourmet burger—nothing ordinary here.

I also ordered hush puppies, as I rarely see these offered, and they were excellent.

Although you could sit in various seating inside, which ranged from a booth to a barstool by the window, I chose to sit outside and enjoy the sun.

The garlic steamed clams were exactly what I was craving. The night before I was a touch disappointed at Harvey Cedars Shellfish so this remedied my mood. I also loved the ahi tuna tacos.

All food is served at the counter and in takeout containers which makes for a quick and easy meal.

Can’t wait to try other menu items

Absolutely must stop by when on the island! The food is amazing, the portions are big and the atmosphere is awesome! Feels like visiting the barnacle from the movie Summer Rental except with way better food BYOB for all us drinkers. Awesome friend staff , plenty of parking for a restaurant on LBI and outdoor seating as well. Have to make it a point to stop by every summer. Thank you!

RUN don’t walk to this unassuming but incredibly delicious gem of a restaurant. It is a no frills kinda place, prices are the same as other seafood restaurants on the island so you’re not saving money other than on the tip because it’s a order at the counter and sit down kinda spot- but the seafood is SO FRESH, perfectly cooked, and delicious. Our family had lobster rolls ( best we had on the island so far), the mussels in the garlic white wine sauce, the stuffed shrimp and the little neck clams. They ran out of the scallops in brown butter sauce but everyone there said that it’s a must have item, we will definitely get it next time! John the owner who is front of house is a little bit of a character but I found it amusing. 10/10 for food! I don’t have photos bc we devoured it all so quickly.

My husband and I have been eating at Beach Haven Fishery for many, many years, but last night was our last time for a several reasons. John the owner (who wears his mask below his nose) is most unpleasant. He took our order at the counter; he can’t hear a thing. We paid with a credit card but didn’t pay much attention to the receipt (it was a credit card receipt only, not our detailed bill) until we were called back up to the counter to pick up the order. Only one order came out. Apparently, John only put in for one order (and we only paid for one order). Why would two people only order one meal, and that being a salad? We each verbally told John what we wanted; it wasn’t like my husband ordered for both of us. My husband then placed his order (again) with a young girl, who apparently has been working hard fixing John’s screw ups: she was very apologetic and promised to get my husband’s meal out right away, which she did. I was very disappointed in my $25.00 salad. Salad greens, 2 ounces of paper-thin dried out swordfish, and a loaf’s worth of croutons (if I wanted a crouton dinner, I would have ordered a crouton dinner.) I left there as hungry as I was when we got there. John should not be on the front lines of his business. If you do eat here and want a terrible value for your money, you might want to place your order with one of the other staff—and you can avoid his unpleasantness and screw-ups at the same time. Attached is a photo of the $25.00 salad, as well as the loaf’s worth of croutons which I removed from the salad.

Their lobster ravioli and penne pasta with shrimp are really good. 4 stars because I think their crab cake could be a little better for the price. Take out staff is always really nice.

Over priced and meh.

I also got the combo platter the fish & scallios were good, the shrimp was overcooked. The red onions that they used in their homemade onion rings were rubbery.
