I love this place! It can get pricey if you’re ordering mixed drinks but other than that it’s pretty reasonable. The view is great and the food is good. Self service at the bar out back – order at the window and they bring food to your table.

This was a gorgeous location, and my husband loved his shrimp tacos. I ordered the duo of salsa and chips but only received the corn and black bean salsa. I tried to find an employee, but I couldn’t find one without walking into employee areas. I’d love to have just dealt with it there, but it was really difficult to ask for help! We also had trouble figuring out where and how to order.

Vibe was great. 2 outside bars, beautiful overlooks of the sea, beach access, plenty of seating 10/10 place for a beer

Had lunch there yesterday afternoon. Other than being next to the water our experience was a huge disappointment, particularly given the good reviews. Once you are seated, you have to order your food and drinks at the bar, give bartender your table number, and then the food gets brought to your table. Not a deal killer, but it seems like they can’t decide whether they want to be a sit down restaurant or a clam shack. Service and cutlery consisted of a single paper napkin and a cheap plastic fork brought out with the food. But it was the food itself that was the real letdown. We ordered the fried oyster appetizer ($18), fish tacos ($21), and tuna poke bowl ($25). The oysters were terrible. There were only 7 or 8 of them hidden beneath a mound of fried banana peppers and they were undercooked, mushy, and not fresh-tasting. Yuck. A nearby diner apparently also had them and shared the same sentiment as he was walking by. It was also unclear what the tomato based sauce accompanying them was supposed to be but honestly, nothing would have helped. The fish tacos (2 pieces) were slightly better but pretty unremarkable, as was the side of potato salad it came with. Although the tuna in the poke bowl was fine, the absence of seaweed salad was a real miss and the dish lacked any element to unite the separate flavors. The “poke sauce” seemed to be just soy sauce and the rice, which was advertised as sushi rice, looked and tasted like ordinary white rice and was cold and hard. For the same $25, I Matunuck Oyster Bar’s amazing poke bowl puts it to shame. We are coastal RI locals and make it a point to support businesses that rely on seasonal tourism but this was definitely a one-and-done for us.

I had a good, strong, strawberry daiquiri while watching the sunset from the bar, capping a perfect Sunday evening. Highly recommended. A+

Sat at the covered bar overlooking the beach for some drinks. The service and beverages were really good. We’ll be back for food and drinks next time.
