My husband decided to have me try something new today, and I’m so glad he did! He’s been here multiple times and absolutely loves it so this time, it was my turn to see what all the hype was about.
As soon as we arrived, there was a line out the door (always a good sign!), but the wait moved quickly thanks to their digital sign-in pad. Just note they don’t take reservations, so you’ll want to show up in person.
The moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something good. The place was buzzing with energy and smelled incredible. The variety of banchan (Korean side dishes) was so fun to explore from their crisp cucumber salad to flavorful kimchi and even a deep-fried fish that was surprisingly good. They also had fish cakes that were delicious and a cold mashed potato salad with raisins that was… interesting. Not my favorite since I usually prefer my mashed potatoes hot and savory, but I appreciated the creativity!
For my meal, I ordered the Teriyaki Combo with mild tofu soup, while my husband went for the Bulgogi Combo with “Danger” spice level. The tofu soup was comforting and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the texture of the tofu itself. Next time, I’ll definitely go for the spicy version — the mild had great flavor but no heat. The beef option in the tofu soup added a nice richness too.
My husband’s Bulgogi was delicious honestly, I preferred it over the teriyaki chicken. Despite being labeled “Danger,” the spice level was very manageable, even for someone who doesn’t usually go for super spicy food.
Service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was warm, attentive, and quick to refill our water and side dishes. The restaurant itself was spotless, organized, and had a cozy family-friendly feel yet it would totally work for a casual date night too. I also loved the TV screens showing how some of the dishes are prepared such a cool touch!
Overall, I’d give this place a solid 10/10. Simple menu, fantastic service, amazing food, and an all-around inviting atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back and try something new next time!
Delicious Korean Foods especially the hot tofu soup during cold weather ! Highly recommended to have your meal here ! Just comfort foods & excellent service !
Firstly, the side dishes served at the beginning, only the squid and deep fried fish was good, the kimchi was not well pickled at all.
The bean pasta soup and La Galbi was okay, other than this, the rest are just so so.
Plenty of wide dishes to choose from, and the tofu pot comes with a fried fish and a raw egg to crack in. You can customize the spicy level to your liking.
Ordered the no spice tofu soup so I could enjoy the taste of the simmered beef broth. Also ordered the seafood pancake to share, it was very delicious and every single Korean tofu place has their own unique take on it. BCD is no exception.
I really enjoyed the stone pot rice as well, although there wasn’t tea or anything to pour into the stone pots afterwards. So my party had to use the iced waters to eat the remaining rice.
Overall, with the big portions and unlimited refills of side dishes, you’ll likely end up with leftovers for later. Delicious a second time!
