From the moment I walked in, I didn’t even know where to begin — this place was just fun. The atmosphere had that lively, welcoming energy that instantly puts you in a good mood, and the staff couldn’t have been better. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, upbeat, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there.
The food was almost perfect. Everything I tried was flavorful and well-prepared, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. My only small wish? More brisket options on the menu — because what they do have is delicious, and I definitely would’ve loved to explore more of it.
And the little touches matter too: from the free ice cream to the way the staff checks in on you without being overbearing. It all added up to a really great experience.
Overall, I’d absolutely come back. This spot gets a big thumbs-up from me.

Had a wonderful experience here. I had the lite chicken dinner with Cole slaw and potato salad. The chicken was moist and just the right amount. It was a small chicken that made it more tender.
The ribbons, trophies and articles celebrating Pete’s mastery of barbecue tell you right away that Pete knowns what he is doing and helps out the local community as well. Free soft serve plus a hand washing station is also super cool. I loved my bbq chicken!

Great place , super friendly staff , had a fantastic pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw and fries . Good selection of sauces and all were tasty! Would definitely go back

I usually stop by this place when I’m in the South End — it’s always pretty solid. The spare ribs are my go-to, tasty every time. It’s also a nice touch that they offer complimentary ice cream at the end. Staff has always been friendly and never a long wait to get my order. Definitely recommend!

Awesome food! Worth the drive from West Seattle. My husband and I got all different sides to share and they were all awesome! Really thick cut fries and the Mac n Cheese was creamy BUT the baked beans were the best! Thick like chili but had a great sweet taste:)

My fiance and I were craving barbecue. This place had great reviews and it did not disappoint. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw they have I think five different sauces so tasty and a fry sauce as well. My fiance got the brisket sandwich and was offered to get it either sliced or chopped. I also got a sweet tea which was perfectly sweet but not too sweet. It was nice that on the side they offered pickles and onions along with the different barbecue sauces. They even have a hand wash station and a place to make your own vanilla ice cream cone.

Very good BBQ, ribs are succulent. Chicken is moist and sauced. The beans are one of my favorite sides and the corn bread is crispy on the outside and so soft inside. Finally finishing it off with soft served vanilla ice cream is just the cherry on top.

I brought my parents here to celebrate Father’s Day, and we tried the BBQ Three Meat Dinner and Prime Rib dip sandwich and fries with sides of cornbread muffin and Cole slaw. Everything was delicious. The quality of the meats were perfection- so tender and juicy, and the marination was perfect. One of the best BBQ places I have tried. The wait was short despite the long line and the food came out quicker than expected. I love their complimentary vanilla soft serve. I would highly recommend BBQ Pete’s and would return again 10/10!

Pretty good burnt ends – lacking in smoky flavor but nice and tender! A little fatty but fat is flavor we ordered at the height of lunch rush and I got the last order of burnt ends, so go early if you want them
