The best place to get bbq in Greenville! Gabriel is fantastic and makes the BEST steak bowl ever. After getting it once I couldn’t stop thinking about it and had to come back and get it again! Also location is amazing right in downtown in gather Greenville so dog friendly!

Today is 11/1/25 and this spot has a 5/5 star rating. Let me tell you! BBQ on the Ave is worth every star!!!. The food is amazing! My husband loves bbq and we decided to take a weekend trip to Greenville so getting some good bbq was on our to do list. Quick Google search brought us to this spot. Absolutely no regrets. If you love bbq or even if you don’t, give this place a try. It’s so worth it. Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere

let me tell y’all, i just went through a bad breakup and the future was bleak. then on a windy sunday, decided to hit up gvl before shopping. BBQ on the ave restored my faith in humanity and in food! we came in not expecting much, we also purchased mac and cheese from another vendor to compare. totally blown away by bbq on the ave. we got brisket mac and cheese, pork belly taco, and the pasta salad. 10/10 no notes! i always worry about food being too salty, but everything was perfectly seasoned without being too salty. you will not regret stopping in for anything on their menu, food made with love is worth the price! and the owner/employees were lovely (and good looking! ) do yourself a favor and see them, they will brighten your day!

Skip all other joints and get this brisket! It’s an 11 out of 10. Seriously. I order brisket all over the country and this is totally delicious. People here are outstanding and food was amazing! I will be back. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Second time in Greenville and I can’t believe I missed this spot the first time! The brisket sandwich was my personal favorite and I highly recommend stopping by and trying something! The staff is so kind, warm and welcoming. I really hope they find a permanent establishment and wish them the best!

I stopped here on a quick lunch break. I ordered just the brisket. It was probably the best brisket I’ve had in a very long time! It was juicy and tender. It literally melted in your mouth. The pickles seem to be homemade but they are delicious. Service was friendly and fast!

The brisket is the best in Greenville. The red and yellow sauces were a little sweet for me, but the vinegar sauce was on point. I look forward to trying the pulled pork next. A fantastic new option at Gather Greenville.
