I recently noticed a post on Facebook about a BBQ spot in Titusville. The drive felt a bit far, so I did a little scavenger hunt for something closer and ended up finding BB Rad’s in Cocoa Beach.
When I arrived, I realized the restaurant is located inside a food hall with several other food options, which I thought was a great concept. I was greeted by one of their employees, who provided excellent service — very engaging, offered suggestions, and even gave me samples to try.
I ordered the brisket, baked beans, sweet potato casserole, and green beans.
The brisket was juicy, soft, and had a great smoky flavor. BBQ sauce was provided, but it leaned heavily toward vinegar. I dipped the brisket in it a couple of times, though it honestly didn’t need sauce at all.
The green beans were cooked well — slightly firm, which I liked — but they did lack salt in my opinion. Not a deal breaker.
The sweet potato casserole was my favorite item. It had pecans and crunchy toasted bits mixed in, and it paired really well with the brisket.
Unfortunately, the baked beans were a disappointment. I was really rooting for them, but they had a burnt aftertaste and texture. It may have just been an off day, but I wasn’t happy with them. I did notify the staff member, who apologized and offered to swap them out. I chose the mac and cheese instead.
The mac and cheese was soft, and the cheese sauce was average. The best way I can describe the flavor is similar to boxed mac and cheese — not bad if you’re in the mood for it, just not standout.
Overall, I’d give BB Rad’s a 6 out of 10. Would I try them again? Yes, if I’m in the area. I really liked the food hall concept and the variety of options available. Bonus points for being open until 11 p.m. on Saturdays.

Having an option closer than Titusville feels like a dream come true! I’m so glad to have them here in Cocoa Beach. The quality is just as high as the original location. I had the pulled pork slider – tender, flavorful meat on a fresh bun – and the green beans cooked with bacon and onions were hot, delicious, and full of flavor. Plenty of parking and a great overall experience. I can’t wait to go back!

Visited this location after visiting their Titusville restaurant. The food was on the exact same level as the main location. Brisket was amazing and the staff was very friendly!! The owner was there and even came out and chatted with us as we got there not long after opening. Love the food and the people!

As always, it’s the best. Especially the ribs! Well, and the chicken, and the pulled pork, and the brisket. Purchased a bottle of the Gold Sauce for the ribs we took home. Portions are generous.
