The bb.q in our name stands for Best of the Best Quality, and that’s exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants. Our Korean fried chicken is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you’ve tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It’s a tremendous amount of work, but it’s all worth it when you take that first bite.

Reviews
Note on my rating scale: Sharing this for transparency, as I recognize that a 3-star review may be misinterpreted as reflecting a mediocre experience.
5 stars – Exceptional: Outstanding food, service, and/or overall experience. Truly worth going out of your way for. (For example, we frequently make the drive from San Antonio to Austin just for Uchi.)
4 stars – Very Good: Exceeds expectations in quality, service, or ambiance.
3 stars – Good: A solid experience that meets expectations. I consider any place with 3 stars or above worthy of a return visit.
2 stars – Disappointing: Falls short in food quality or service.
1 star – Poor: Not recommended.
My boyfriend has ordered from here on Ubereats for me 3 times in the last week, because of how good the food is.
For those who have not read my reviews, I have a very delicate palate when it comes to food, thus why I make sure to share my thoughts. If the food is bad, trust me, you will know.
Now I can’t say much about the physical location, as I have not been yet. But I will give my review on the food, and try to get better photos to post next time I get it.
Food:
Galbi Wings-
Despite being coated in a sweet, flavourful galbi sauce, the wings are still crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the in. The sauce is very addicting, and make my tongue tingle with every bite. Not one who will usually clean a chicken wing when finished, but with these I try to get every last bite off of the thing.
Kimichi Ramen-
When ordered for takeout, the noodles and toppings are placed in a tray just above the broth to keep them from being delivered soggy. I love this, as my first time ordering, I was afraid of getting soggy food. But you get perfectly cooked noodles, and steamed broccoli every time. The kimchi broth.. chefs kiss, I have never been happier with a ramen broth, even better than my homemade, and that’s saying something. I do wish you were given a full boiled egg with the ramen, instead of a half, but that’s neither here nor there. Still worth the great price.
Normal Ramen-
Had a bit of a basic ramen taste in the first bite, but then it got better with each bite after. Very enjoyable, especially their broths. Just wish it came with all the toppings they have in the advertised photo on Ubereats.
Soy Garlic Rice Bowl- (My go to meal)
This….. this made me happy last night. The perfect mixture of rice, egg, chicken, and their sauce. I was in a terrible mood when my boyfriend ordered me this. But after eating the ramen, then this? I was the happiest person. The flavor was something I have never had before, making my mouth tingle and salavate. I was sad when I was too full to be able to finish it. But looking forward to seeing how it taste reheated in the airfryer for lunch.
Ddeok-Bokki- (pronounced teok-bokki)
This was the most authentic flavor ddeok-bokki I have managed to find thus far in the US. It has the perfect amount of spice. The rice cakes were cooked perfectly, not making me gag from the texture like they normally do at other places. Then you add the cheese option to it? Pure perfection. I do wish it came with a bit more scallions on it, but other than that, I have zero complaints.
I will update in the future with photos, as I try more things on the menu.
Update:
I had given this place a 5 star review, but lowered it to a 4 star. Have ordered more from here, and sadly, a lot of the photos are false advertisements. So my review has gone from a raving 5 start, to a 4 star, as described below.
So Ddeok So Ddeok-
While pretty decent in flavor, I feel like the sauce was way too strong, and it actually made me sick to my stomach. Tasted like it was slathered in a heavy BBQ sauce. My daughter, despite hating spicy food, said it was good, and finished it off for me.
Fries-
My boyfriend ordered the fries for me, since it shows the thin crispy fries in the photo, as he knows I hate thick cut fries. But the fries in the image were NOT what arrived with my order. Instead they were thick, crinkle cut fries, that were cold, and soggy.
Cheesling Fries-
Another false advertisement of fries. Thick, crinkle cut fries, not the thin and crispy advertised. However, these were actually amazing. Boyfriend bought them for my kids, but they were so good, I had to have a couple. Not sure what sauce they are covered in, but it was sweet, and blended perfectly with the cheese powder.
Kimchi Fried Dumplings (Kimchi Mandi)-
Was highly disappointed at the size of these, as they are half the size of normal ones. Though I wasn’t a huge fan of the flavor, my picky kids loved it.
I have been to this store last month and the quality was good. I have also been to other stores and always believed BBQ Chicken offers the best Korean-style chicken wings, I am deeply disappointed by this experience at this store.
I have contacted the customer service and they refused to refund.
DON’T go to this store.
I ordered the Caribbean Spice Rice bowl, and it was very good. The level of spice was spot on. I also ordered the Small Secret Sauce Wings; these were absolutely amazing.
The portions are enough so that I have leftovers for dinner tomorrow night.
Now it is $19 for chicken the size of Buffalo Wild Wings chicken, with barely any breading or seasoning. It is wild to pay $20 for the same chicken that you can get at any deli section for like $8.
Don’t waste your money!
I will post a picture of the chicken from Dawa, that is what b.b.q’s chicken used to be, but even better! This restaurant went down hill so much, it is upsetting.
