This was the kind of first-time visit that makes us want to go back for more! We made a spontaneous visit at 5pm on a Friday and lucked out to get a seat on the patio. Molly was our server, and she was fantastic–very busy, but we were never left lacking. I had cider while my husband had a beer. The menu has a broad selection of items, but we were drawn to the same thing on this visit–the fried walleye. I ordered it with side salad and rice pilaf, while my husband ordered an extra filet and with fries on the side.
For an appetizer, we had fried cheese curds, and they were fantastic. Piping hot, squeaky, and crisp. The side salads were nice and fresh. Our main dishes were so very good, too. It was an incredibly satisfying meal and experience.

Cozy all American diner and bar, full of friendly folk, and that pleasant Midwestern service. The food was ok, but that’s about it.
Ordering the shrimp cocktail may have been an error on my part. But it looked and tasted like five shrimp from the fridge, put on a plate, served with a semi fitting dipping sauce.
The California burger was combined well and had a nice quality paddy. The bun had just been sliced through, and the overall experience might have been improved quite a bit if the bun had been toasted, fried or something.

Fantastic burger and service in a calm bar. We experienced a brief delay, but the management handled it perfectly with a discount and constant drink refills. Highly recommend!

We did a spontaneous date night tonight. Decided to go to Bayside to have a couple of cocktails and order food to go. Our bartender Dewey was great, the atmosphere was phenomenal, and the food was perfect as usual. We are really hoping to make Bayside a regular date night and we will for sure be telling everyone about our great experience. Thank you!!!

Brother-in-law & I heartily agree is a terrific place. With wonderful food & servers. Enjoyed great lunch 3 straight days. While recently visiting Red Wing. Via Amtrak Borealis, a great 1 hour ride each way. Bayside is a 3 block walk from our hotel…which has 2 neighboring hotels. Also, recommend this place as is a single location, local owner/ operated. Opportunity to support “buy local” vs. a nearby national chain competitor.
Wonderful atmosphere. Especially due to riverside exterior,via booths & giant windows, facing the gorgeous river views ~ 1 block away. A great adjacent foot bridge offers fun option of on foot access to the beautiful river park, down the slope.

Had a very nice dinner here recently. Stopped in after a quick Google search. They say they are known for steaks and martinis. Sounds good right?
Our server was with us immediately telling us about the specials and how to navigate the martini menu. Ordered a couple of the martinis and they hit the spot.
Wife ordered the gouda and onion burger and added mushrooms to it. The burger was devoured quickly. The fries were amazing and just the right amount of salt.
I got the larger sized rib eye and it was cooked perfectly and came out sizzling. The loaded baked potato was nice as well.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be back. Bet the view is really pretty in the summer too. Lots of partitions so it is Covid friendly (unfriendly? )

When my mom came to town I had to take her to Bayside. Local favorite spot! The service was friendly and fast. The food was fresh, hot and mouthwateringly tasty. The spices on that Cajon chicken sandwich gave your tongue a taste bud delight. And those fresh handmade burgers are some of the best around. Although I’m not happy with the town for how they positioned the bridge going into next door that messed up the beautiful view of the river well see what it looks like when the bridge is finished. All in all great drinks, delicious food, small town atmosphere. I like this place. So good that when Jay Lenno came to town this is where he ate. Try the steaks!

Best steak in the area! Very friendly bartenders and helpful staff. They have a good selection on the menu and use quality meat. Great place for meat lovers. The cocktail shrimp are very large and delicious.
