My family and I went to Bay Ridge this weekend. It is a beautiful restaurant. The food is visually stunning, and the taste is exemplary. You can dress down, you can dress up, The wait staff is attentive, friendly, and on their game. The menu is wonderful and has options for everyone, not justsushi. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend Bayridge Sushi! Excellent experience!!!

As a seasoned sushi lover, I was truly looking forward to trying this restaurant for the first time. My husband and I had a mixed experience overall. When we arrived, there were two hostesses — one was on the phone taking an order while the other was moving around but hardly acknowledged or seat us for about five minutes, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. The energy felt off-putting right from the start.

Our server was pleasant and did their best — not bad service by any means, just not especially attentive or memorable. The sushi itself was beautifully presented and very generous in size, but for our taste, the rolls were a bit overwhelming with too much going on in each bite.

I ordered the guava sidecar, which was unfortunately extremely syrupy and not something I could finish.

What really sealed the experience for me was a brief but uncomfortable moment while using the restroom. The same hostess who delayed seating us was standing directly outside the bathroom, leaning against the sink, and simply stared without saying anything as I exited. It left me feeling awkward and unwelcome — especially after spending over $120 on dinner.

While the food was good, the overall atmosphere and service made us feel uncomfortable enough that we likely wouldn’t return. I hope management can address guest interactions to create a warmer, more welcoming experience in the future. Dinner 9:50pm on Friday.

We are visiting down here & was looking for some good sushi when we doing this place! It’s so cute and the food taste absolutely amazing! If you love edamame then definitely get the garlic edamame. Best i’ve ever had! John was our server and he was very sweet and super attentive. We will definitely be coming back!

I would 1000% go back to Bayridge. I have already been back over 10 times and will continue to go for its consistency!! Food portion sizes are almost good for two for the price. The fish tasted fresh and food was served hot. Inside the dining area tall booths make great separation between the guests and of course service is always consistent. Such a staple in the longwood community!!

Bayridge Sushi – Full Bellies, and a Brave (but Failed) Ikura Mission

This place was an absolute home run! My nephew and niece announced, “This is where we’re having sushi,” and thankfully they chose very wisely. Bayridge Sushi did not disappoint. My sister doesn’t quite share the same adventurous palate as the three of us, but I think she enjoyed watching us crush roll after roll like competitive eaters in a sushi Olympics.

Service was excellent from start to finish. Our server took great care of us all evening, and while I didn’t catch her name, she absolutely nailed it.

I made a heroic attempt to convert my niece and nephew to Ikura (salmon roe)… and failed miserably. Turns out there really is a line in the sushi sand. Tiny orange flavor bombs that pop in your mouth? That’s where they draw the boundary. Their loss. More for me.

The menu is impressively inclusive, and after flipping through several pages of tempting options, I already know this is a must-stop every time I visit.

And the best part? My wonderful niece insisted on paying for dinner. Completely unnecessary, but incredibly thoughtful and touching. Watching her extend that kindness to her visiting uncle made the night even more special.

Fantastic food, great service, and a little Ikura drama for entertainment… easy five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the best sushi restaurants in the area. We’ve been coming here for at least 5 years to celebrate life milestones. Atmosphere is great, food is delicious and friendly stuff. You gotta try wagy beef Goyzas, they are the bomb!

Bayridge has earned a repeat customer after today’s lunch! My work background is high-end Japanese/Korean cuisine from when I bartended. I know good quality fish.

Bayridge has some of the best tasting fish with an unbeatable price. I will be coming back for dinner next, to get the full ambience of the restaurant.

The interior is beautiful with fancy lighting all over. The service was impeccable. (Jenn took care of us today and she was phenomenal.) ❤️

Already looking forward to my next visit!

I went out to experience this restaurant since it was close to my home. First appearance, very beautiful & elegant. Host took a little to sit us , it wasn’t busy so it was a weird that she was gone . We sat down & we had Ricky as are server , very polite & gave us a bunch of suggestions. We got an old fashion & a guava drink. It was amazing. We needed up getting a bento box. Worth it . Loved the variety. Then we ended up getting desert , that was the most driest desert I have ever ate but we weren’t here for the desert. Overall good experience, good environment & great service by Ricky.
