First time going to this place. Service was order and pay at the front, take a seat and they bring the food to you. I ordered the fried catfish with fries and it came with toasted bread and a drink. I added 2 fried oysters also. My friend ordered the gumbo to eat there and some hot wings and 2 fried oysyers to go. My meal totaled $19.84. My catfish was hot out of the grease and seasoned really well and it was fried very nicely. The fries were good too. I didn’t taste the gumbo but my friend said it was good. A couple of things about the restaurant that stood out to us were: the toilet seat in the bathroom needed to be replaced. It was very worn and well, I guess you’d say dirty. And the overall general condition of the inside of the restaurant was dirty. Dust in corners at the order window, dirt and sticky stuff on the lazy susan’s on the tables. The salt and pepper shakers at the front, which you would take to your table were filthy, sticky and just filthy, as were the other spice containers along with them. The restaurant needs a good overall cleaning.

I like the owner he was a very nice guy. The atmosphere reminded me of Naw’lins, but the food didn’t not even close. There was a repass there earlier they may have passed some of that food leftover. The food was void of flavor and was cooked wrong. I’m a chef by trade and I would be wrong for not telling the truth. I love New Orleans mostly for the cuisine it very unique and delicious. We did enjoy the World Series we were watching there. I didn’t eat the Gumbo there at the place took it home ate the next day. I had to add chicken base to get any taste from it. Brother I wish you prosperity and success in the future. Maybe it was just a bad day it does happen I know from experience. Next time I’m in L.A. I’ll give you another chance.

Every-time I return to LA, I make sure to have at least one meal here during my stay. I live in the SF Bay Area and it is very difficult to find Louisiana style home cooking there. This is comfort food at its best! Portions are plentiful and good value for the price.

Since parking is kinda tight in the area, I get take out 90% of the time.

It’s all been great so far. The fried catfish is on point but I have also loved the crawfish tails, oysters and shrimp. This is where I go to get my fried seafood fix and the prices can’t be beat. I’ve been twice and I’ve included the pictures from both trips.

OMG! I ordered the chicken strip po’ boy sandwich and Cajun fries. It was SUPER delicious!! My daughter ordered the fried shrimp & Cajun fries. We would love to give them a 10 star review. Also, Ashley the cashier was very kind. Thank you for the delicious lunch.

Great portions and plenty of seafood in your dishes. Everything looks and tastes authentic, fresh. Great prices. Would rate a 4.5

Cons: Some shrimp a bit overcooked and my ettouffe wasn’t as creamy as I usually like and a bit too spicy vs the spicy shrimp with green and red bell peppers very good and not spicy. Gumbo needed a bit more flavor.

Great crab cake with plenty of meat.

We had the gumbo- Lots of seafood and Great price.

Amazing seafood! Louisiana style cuisine that is fresh and tasty. Love their fried fish (catfish and snapper) and shrimp, and that every meal comes with spicy cocktail sauce and French bread. The crab cakes and jambalaya are pretty good too.

Spent $35.00 for two “crab cakes” and gumbo. Both “crab cakes” were burnt, and the gumbo tasted old. My gripe is with the poor quality food served for the high price.

Being a first-time guest, the food was still presented poorly, prepared old, and burnt, which caused this visit to be the last.

Bayou Grille provides outstanding New Orleans food with excellent customer service. The catfish, crawfish, crab cakes, jambalaya and other food items stand at the top of LA’s best. The restaurant has consistent events and you may even catch some live jazz. Excellent food and excellent atmosphere!

1 salmon croquette approximately $10- One out of 10. Ended up in the trash. Not tasty at all.

1 crab cake approximately $10- 3.5 out of 10. The tartar sauce was good so that helped it. Would not order again

1 order of french fries approximately five dollars- you know it’s not good when you throw fries away. Tasted like they were cooked in old grease

In my opinion they need to revamp all of their recipes. I wondered why I hadn’t eaten here in years. Now I know why. Nothing was good and I had to find something else to eat. Good food is more than just putting some cajun seasoning. Feel free to try on your own but I will not be returning.
