I have never been to New Orleans, but I have functional taste buds and self-respect, and Bayou Bros Cajun Boils is that place.
The voodoo rolls??? ABSURD. Crispy. Flaky. Shatter-when-you-bite-into-it perfection on the outside, then BAM creamy, meaty, rich goodness inside. I literally had to pause chewing for a second because my brain needed to catch up.
And the hushpuppies?? Unreal. Perfectly melted cheese in the center, with this rice cornbread style breading that’s light but dense, moist, flavorful, and not greasy at all. Whoever figured that ratio out deserves a raise and possibly a parade.
The sauce on the side is no joke either, bold, flavorful, and spicy in the correct way. Not “hurts just to hurt,” but “oh yeah, that’s the stuff.” I would happily dip my entire life into that sauce.
Let’s talk portions: HUGE. Like “did I accidentally order for two people?” huge. Incredible value for the price. You will leave full. You will leave happy. You will probably be thinking about it later.
And the guy who took my order and cooked this masterpiece? Super kind, down to earth, and clearly someone who actually gives a damn about the food he’s making, which you can absolutely taste.
I love this place. I will be back. If you’re on the fence, get off the fence and go eat immediately. Your mouth deserves this.

So slow, processing food out of order. If they ever get a rush they do not know how to handle it. Zero processes. Food is Meh, really wouldn’t call it Southern or Cajun.

Wow, I mean , Cajun is new to me and seafood isn’t my jam , but hearing from the owner about the Nola roast beef with gravy overstuffed po boy I had to try it. I know, I don’t know you , but let me tell you something honest ,… one of the best sandwiches I’ve had hands down , so juicy and flavorful! I got some Southern kettle chips and New Orleans soda pop, My girl ordered the shrimp overstuffed po boy (pic is what she couldn’t finish – great for sharing) and the boudin balls which I tried and loved ,… we will be back and hope you support this Newley local business!!
