I had an excellent dinner at Bayleaf on a holiday weekend in Brighton. I was able to get a table immediately, but I was by myself, so larger parties should reserve a table. I had a prawn appetizer that was almost like a soft taco, and my main was a delicious fish curry. The food was all delicious. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The layout of the restaurant is tastefully designed. It was an excellent meal. Highly recommend!

I came to this venue as if was recommended many times from a friend. And now i have been many times myself. I have had several dishes from there and they have never missed once. From starters and mains. The only thing I would say was slightly different was no highchairs for kids. Service was great too. Look forward to my next visit.

This place was quite classy with a spacious and warm atmosphere. The owner was friendly and our meals arrived in good time. I had the Chicken Tika Masala which was possibly the best Indian dish ever. Quite sweet which suited my palette. We had a view of the sea which was nice. Background music was Indian and not too loud so was a nice ambience. Prices were reasonable considering the great menu choices, great service and beautiful food. Highly recommend this place.

Second visit and Tariq has been brilliant both times. Amazing food, outstanding service, and easily the best curry house around. We’ll 100% be back again… and again!

We took our (very fussy) son for his first proper curry, we’d been here once before and enjoyed it so decided to go back. So glad we did, Tariq was incredibly welcoming and so helpful with our boy who was very overwhelmed. A lovely little spot and we will definitely be back. Thank you Tariq

Saag poata is full of raw big sized potatoes with very less palak. Not happy as it was too expensive and didn’t eat potatos

A bit expensive. Food is good. I didn’t enjoy any of the sauces but I guess that’s a personal preference. The restaurant looks nice and well decorated.
Would come back to try a different dish as they have many options to choose from.

Food was just as good as any other indian restaurants nothing special or unique taste. The staff are just not so attentive or knowledgeable and also don’t have hospitality. Just a casual restaurant order your food, eat, pay and leave. Also of all the places i have visited the priced seems a bit high even for the inflation it’s not justified. The sides are almost near the price for mains.

I couldn’t wait to share my time and experience at the Bayleaf. The waiter Shafi introduced himself, asked how we were. I was celebrating my Birthday, and there was a beautiful white bouquet of roses waiting for me at the the table (arranged by my friends and the restaurant) within minutes we were snacking on popadom with four dips, the sweetest mango chutney, spicy delicious pickle chutney, cool creamy mint and finely diced onion.
The Tikka Masala was positively the best I’d ever had, with the veggie curry and chicken tikka rice, I couldn’t stop indulging, just simply full of flavour and tasted so fresh. This restaurant came recommended to me and without a doubt it did not disappoint. Perfect for the family gathering or for just two friends catching up, there is something on the menu for everyone’s pallet. Fresh vegan/veggie option to chicken beef or lamb. This will be my Indian restaurant go to. Not just for the food but also the warm and charming hospitality. Thankyou Bayleaf, we will be back
