We ate here on our way into Napier and enjoyed it so much we went back on our way out. Both times we had snapper and chips. Crispy chips, super flavorful fish. It’s a takeaway so not much atmosphere but we sat at a table out front and enjoyed our food fresh out of the fryer!

Clean, polite staff, but I’m not getting the guessing of your scoops of chips,where a basket full is cooked then staff told how many scoops people ordered. And guessing begins whatever happened to you cook what people order together. I know I’ve been in food service industry. Not hard. There must be a regulation on how much a scoop weighs. A fish shop started out going this,bug soon changed.

Don’t usually do reviews but I have to this time. Fish was greasy as, squid rings were straight mush, chips were ok. Spent $60 and threw 90% of it out, had to make sandwiches to feed the kids. The rest of the reviews seem positive so perhaps just an off night but I won’t be heading back.

Food was great, service was great and as I said before, food was great. What else can I say?
I watched the lady batter the fish freshly, her and her husband were incredible and made us aussies feel very welcomed!

Local legends. Just bloody great all around. Fed 9 of us (7 very hungry teens) and everything was fresh, hot and delicious even though they were out the gate busy. Best fish and chips in the Bay. Thanks team. We’ll be back. Probably tomorrow at this rate!!

Omg I’m gluten intolerant and the gluten free fish and chips were so nice. I was travelling with others and we stopped there. I didnt think I would be catered for but I was exited to see they had gluten free. And it didnt disappoint.
