Found the Bay seafood company while in town. It definitely did not disappoint. I got the Hamburger basket with a salad and the fried pickles. The hamburger was real hamburger meat and cooked to order. The fried pickles were delicious. My sister and niece got the Bay boil and steam which had shrimp, crab legs, corn on the cob and potatoes with garlic butter and spicy butter. They had only wonderful things to say about their platter and judging by only shells left behind it is safe to say they enjoyed it. They said the seafood was fresh and cooked to order. The staff was very friendly and treated us like family. Our drinks never got below half full. Very attentive and very sweet ladies. We have definitely found the mom and pop seafood restaurant that we will visit when we are back in town.

We tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. I had asked for recommendations for a local restaurant that would have crawfish on the menu. My mother had never tried them before, and she was anxious to see what they were like. I was surprised to learn that a crawfish platter, with potatoes and corn, was only $8.99. I found that to be really inexpensive. The crawfish was okay, and I had no issues with them. To me, the spice level was mild to moderate, depending on your sensitivity to spice. The corn was very overcooked, however. When we first walked in, I checked out the lunch buffet, which had both hot and cold items. Every hot item looked like it had been sitting on the hot buffet for a long time and was past its prime. In fairness, I did not eat from the buffet so I cannot attest to the experience of actually eating the hot buffet items. I did notice one customer come in, review the hot bar, and decide to have a salad instead. One person in my party ordered chicken strips and fries. He said the chicken strips were fine, but the fries were very bland. I was a bit turned off by the fact that the buffet station needed a good cleaning/polishing in the front. I don’t mind a restaurant not being fancy or upscale, but cleanliness is important to me. To that end, the bathrooms were very large, clean, and equipped with handicap bars. which I appreciated, as my mother is in a wheelchair. The staff were super nice and accommodating.

This place is great! I had been looking for a place that made Pattons hot sausage poboys for quite a while when my wife ran across them here. While picking up my 12” hot sausage with had cut fries, I found out they also sell live and boiled crawfish, best price I’ve seen around here. I’ll keep coming back!

If we could give more stars, we would! The young ladies went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Which we did. The food, atmosphere and service were spot on.

First visit. It was busy so service was slow. Ordered onion rings and fried shrimp poor boy. Better half had fish platter. He said his was good. Onion rings, with my taste buds, needed lighter breading and salt. Liked the thicker onions. The shrimp were good. The bread was tough to eat, and the very little lettuce was limp or old.

I have called here several times to order take out and they were always out of what I wanted. Stopped in last night to order take out. I ordered two of the fried fish and shrimp dinners. Right after I had placed my order and paid, they brought a lady’s plate out and she found a long black hair in her sandwich. When I got home, my two take out boxes were over half full of fried okra, only had a few fish nuggets (not fillets) and about five small fried shrimp. VERY over priced for the food received and it had a bland taste to it. I will not waste my time or money there again.

Was excited to try this place I ordered a fryed seafood plater with salad bar wife ordered the bay boil. We split both the boils to get a good taste for what they have to offer. The salad bar was Very bad the spring mix was not just wilted but rotting. The fryed platter was the worst I have had, was way way over salted, I had to eat it with ketchup. And some of it had a fishy taste to like it was going bad. The bay boil that came out was not much better but I have to say the royal reds were good. The crab and the corn were over cooked and taste like it was cooked in mass amounts of salt and pepper. Nothing tasted fresh. Before I could even make it home my stomach was hurting barley made it to the restroom. And I live around the corner. The waiters were very nice so atleast the services wasn’t horrible. Will not go back and would never recommend.

I see that most people like the food here and maybe the crawfish are good but we didn’t order the crawfish. My wife ordered the fried shrimp po boy and I had the fish and shrimp with an order of boudin rolls. Figured a seafood co would at least be same day fresh but the shrimp were rubber (way over cooked) the fry’s were inedible as they were grease and soggy. The catfish had huge air pockets between the breading and fish which was also over cooked and definitely from frozen.(if I wanted frozen fish or shrimp I could have went to a fast food restaurant) Boudin rolls come with no sauce for dipping and had to send the first order back because they were still cold in the center. I figure if your a seafood co the sea food would at least be fresh not from frozen. I would rank this place below a long John silver. My wife and I don’t go out often and when we do we try to explore new places to eat and this place was as great disappointment. I hope that bay seafood co takes this criticism to heart and challenge themselves to improve the quality of food they serve.
