We had a great experience for my birthday. Our waiter was fantastic and the drink and food delicious. We had the lemon drop martini, margarita, truffle fries, fish and chips, beef stroganoff and smothered sirloin. We hadn’t been in a while, and were pleasantly surprised with all the changes. Thank you!

Went there with my husband and his friends on a busy weekend and they still were able to get us in!
The burger of the day was amazing and so were the cheese curds! Had a great time dining there, service was good too!

My wife and I traveled up for the weekend and decided to stop by on Sunday to enjoy the world-renowned shrimp and grits. There were a few parties happening, but our server Elie was amazing! We came from Florida, and he was from the same area as us. We recognized all the places he had worked, and he was just wonderful. He never rushed us, and even sat down at our table to chat for 15 minutes after his shift ended. I told my brother to ask for him since he is currently staying at the pink shell (where he worked) and will be visiting Gun Lake soon! The food was incredible, and the staff was outstanding and cheerful! The manager even stopped to chat with us and she was wonderful!

We went here for my husband’s birthday. I highly recommend making reservations for Friday or Saturday nights because we have tried to stop by in the past without them and there is usually a long wait. With reservations, everything went smoothly.

It was a great view while we ate and the food was delicious. We split a bottle of wine, got the cheese curd special, and each got an entree. I got the walleye with risotto, and I would get it again.

The waitress was kind, but she seemed too busy to provide the quality of service expected when spending as much as you spend here. It is possible that another staff member called in sick so they were slightly short staffed on the night we visited. This is understandable and since it isn’t a regular place for us, it could have been a one time thing.

Loved the food…service…view….all of it! Our waitress, Beth, was the best. We had a great table on the beautiful patio. Taylor did a great job making sure the staff was taking care of everyone. She was very present all over the restaurant. Another great birthday dinner!

Between all of the snowmobiles zipping around and the plane that took off and landed on the ice, we had dinner AND a show! The meal was superb (fish and chips for me, beef tips for the SO), but the highlight was the fabulous cherry cobbler for dessert! Yum! Jess was our excellent server.

They were off this visit. They had three weddings going, we had made reservations weeks in advance and they still sat us 40 minutes late. As we walked in they were trying to call us to…what ? Warn us? They didn’t offer us a drink while we waited, directed us to the bar which turned out to be the closed bar so we sat there for a while servers walked past saying nothing. Found the open bar on our own.

Our server was nice, the food for 4 of us was ok. The Tilefish special was pretty good. They switched two of our meals even though we asked “is this the…” and didn’t seem to care much. One person felt she had the wrong cut of meat although they tried to say they just cut it this unusual way we were all unfamiliar with. The staff just seemed tired and rather done.

They get full marks for the lovely view, although the battling wedding DJs colliding around us was a bit much. They could have made more of an effort.

Yuck.
This restaurant has tanked in the last few years. We had our wedding here in 2012, so like to come back to celebrate our anniversary. The menu was really underwhelming, the selections were predictable and not enticing. Ordered cheese curds to start. Im a Wisconsinite – those were NOT cheese curds. Not in flavor,
texture or shape. Call it fried cheese if youre just going to use tempura on cheese cubes. Curds are irregular shaped, and usually slightly chewy, not soft and gooey. Ranch dressing could’ve been used to kill a vampire it had so much garlic.
My entree was supposed to be fish and chips. The fish edible, but honestly, Long John Silvers does better. Way more like grocery store fish sticks. Fries were soggy. Sure, the tartar sauce was home made, but it was SALTY, when it shouldn’t be. That, and the chef put it on a bed of wilted, half rotten oily greens that stuck to the fish. My salad came out with dinner, and the lettuce was just on the edge of being bad. Looked like they dumped a half a bag of crouton crumbs on it with store bought caeser dressing. My husband had a French dip sandwich, but once again, we’ve had way better for less money, and his fries were soggy too.
Ou server was really trying, but she had at least 7 four-tops.

This is such a vast departure from the upscale restaurant we’ve celebrated at for years. I don’t know WHAT they’re doing, but they’re doing it extremely poorly.

This review is solely written on Happy Hour drinks & our Bartender’s and the Hostess. Our Bartender Ashley was fantastic! She was courteous, quick, attentive & was extremely busy! She was making yummy drinks & handling it all meticulously! Betty came in shortly before we left & she was attentive & friendly also! It was great to see hustle & staff that actually cares! Rare nowadays. Thank you ladies, will come back to see you
