First timer here and everything was deliciousl I really liked their mushroom banchan. They have a long table in the middle of the restaurant, so they can accommodate large parties. They played a lot of Kpop Demon Hunter.

Army Stew ($58.95) – Huge portion. Could’ve done with less rice cake/rice balls.

Seafood Pancake ($22.95) – Crispy and flavorful. One of my favorite dishes.

Chicken Wings ($22.95) – Juicy and crispy. Yum.

Braised Pork Belly ($55.95) – Apparently a special menu item, but they always serve it. Came with lettuce and like 5 garlic slices.

Galbi ($43.95) – No complaints here.

Kimchi Fried Rice ($19.95) – Was nice to have rice to eat with the meat, but I’ve had better.

Had a great dinner at Bay Pocha in San Francisco. We ordered the bossam and chicken gizzards, and both were excellent. The bossam was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, especially when paired with the fresh greens and sauces. The chicken gizzards were flavorful, well-cooked, and had a great texture—definitely one of the highlights of the meal.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made us feel very welcome throughout the night. Portions were generous, side dishes were fresh, and everything came out in a timely manner. Overall, great food, great service, and a fun Korean pocha-style atmosphere. I’d absolutely come back and would highly recommend this spot

If you are a Korean who knows what good Korean foods taste like, this is not the place for you . Based on the decent reviews , I decided to check this place out with my friend. Since it was just two of us, the army stew seemed like too large portion for us to even share . So we ordered pollock eggs fish soup , spicy pork belly and one appetizer. While the soup had generous amount of seafoods in the soup, the pollock eegs tasted pretty bad , like old sock . And I know how the fresh pollock eggs test like.

The stir spicy pork belly didn’t have much taste except it was salty . Usually well seasoned spicy pork belly has the combination of smoky sweet and salty with umami flavor but this one lack most of the flavors.

The banchan didn’t taste fresh either. The fish cake and mushroom dishes were dry and hard as rubber , seemed like they were pre made long long time go.

While I am tempted to go back to try army stew, after seeing recent review with rat pic , I am questioning the sanitation of this place.

The vibe at Bay Pocha is loud. The restaurant was full at 8pm with a line outside. It is mostly college age people. The food here is OK. We had the wings $22, spicy wings $24, kimchi fried rice $19, pork belly $32, jap chae $19, bulgogi $35, seafood pancake $21, spicy pork $33 and rice cake $19. The one standout dish was the wings. That was great. Not the spicy wings, that was meh. I love it when the sizzling iron plate dishes come out of the kitchen. You can smell that intoxicating sweet Korean BBQ meat aroma. That was awesome. Service was friendly.

**1/5 stars due to rat issue**

I would rate the overall food a 3.5/5. The seafood pancake was really good but the bulgogi was kind of tough. The pork belly was pretty decent.

However we saw a live rat at the end of the meal right in front of our table on the wall. This is why I am giving this a 1/5. Due to unsanitary conditions and potential health risks to customers and staff it is not recommended to come here until this is fixed. A review on Yelp from 5 days ago also states the same. See photos I posted for rat. The restaurant comped our meal due to us noticing the rat but it seems it had already been there for days.

Here’s everything we ordered:
Half and Half Fried Chicken Wings $23.95
I only ate the non-spicy ones and those were delicious! It’s fried to perfection and each piece was so big, so meaty 🙂 It came with a side of salad & radish. The dish didn’t just come with chicken wings but drumettes as well.

Soft Tofu Soup $18.95
I chose the non-spicy level, it comes with grounded beef and seafood. This is the most flavorful Korean tofu soup I’ve ever had. The broth is so rich and really taste like they’ve been boiling this for hours. They also give a lot of tofu, beef and seafood.

Korean Miso Stew $20.95
My mom ordered this and this was such a big portion! This can definitely be shared between 2 people if you aren’t to hungry. It came with plenty of seafood as well, this one had a lot of squid compared to the Soft tofu soup.

Hot Stone Bibimbap $22.95
My partner ordered this one, this was also a pretty big portion and came with plentiful toppings. It’s always fun to mix everything together and eat it in one bite.

Bay Pocha is honestly one of my go-to spots as a college student. The food is so good and perfect for sharing with friends, especially if you’re going in a group. The portions are big, and you definitely get your money’s worth. I also like the music played inside as well and it matches the vibe and energy of the other customers as well. Definitely would come here again.

We went on a Saturday evening and quite busy. Although the numerous patrons, noise level was reasonable. We were able to converse very easily. The service was well above par.
Food Was overall very good. I like the soft tofu in the soup. The kimchi rice was excellent. I highly recommend That one. The hot pot had a huge serving at the potty easily Feed party of four
We had that fried wing a chicken wings, which were huge, But the taste was OK.

One of the best Korean restaurants in San Francisco. The inside of the restaurant feels cramped and dark. Food and service are good. I really like kimchi stew. It is open until 12:00 at night, so I like it because I can eat at night when I get back from work.
