Upon entering the restaurant, no one acknowledged us. When we tried to place our order, we were still ignored. Throughout this time, the staff appeared to have a habit of looking down while working. Even when someone was facing me directly, turning around in front of me, or walking out from the back, no one noticed me—even as I raised my hand straight high and waved repeatedly to get attention.
While we were dining, the floor was being mopped by a cleaning staff using a cleaning solution with an extremely strong chemical smell. Even though we were seated far away, we were still forced to eat while breathing in the fumes, which was very uncomfortable.
We informed the female staff member who was responsible for taking orders and handling payment, but she showed no response and made no attempt to adjust the situation. The cleaning staff continued mopping and even went over the area a second time, which made the smell even stronger.
As for the food, the Three Cup Chicken was disappointing from the moment it arrived. The appearance was below expectations and did not reflect at least a standard dish. The Shrimp with Soft Eggs was only barely presentable. The seasoning was uneven, and we ended up biting into a mouthful of heavily salted egg.
Overall, the lack of basic service awareness, poor dining environment, and disappointing food quality made this an unpleasant dining experience.

This is your typical Chinese style cafe. Wait can be awhile when crowded. Food is good, reasonable priced and portions. Gets noisy. They like to get you in and out quickly.

Worst hk style cafe in LA. Rude service and not good food. The rating tricked me. I asked for red bean ice. They gave me a red bean ice which is unsweetened. I ask them what happened they just give me syrup. I then take the ice out and then it’s sweet. The aunty is so rude, she still put syrup into although i said no. 乾炒牛河 is not good either. I think any hk style cafe have better 乾炒牛河 than this spot. I will never come to this place ever.

I was coldly greeted by a young Asian man in his 20s. I felt as if he was rude. Once I sat down to enjoy my drink, the server took away all the plates and silverware from the table. Next, the menu said FREE REFILL. So I requested a refill for my drink , an HK lemon ice tea. He ripped the plastic top open. I asked him of he could put a new layer of plastic on top of the cup, he said no. I felt like the customer service was poor and I feel like it was racially motivated.

The food is great, better than Tasty Garden! The restaurant is small so I recommend joining wait-list on Yelp ahead of time. The drinks are large and cheap during lunch hours. Food portions are generous as well. The fried chicken however was so-so, a bit on the dry side.
