Objectively a bad restaurant. I walked in just after 11am and the breakfast menu was up. Tried to order a breakfast croissant, the guy said sorry breakfast is over and switched the menu while I stood there.
Mind you, there place was virtually empty with 4 cooks in the back. How hard odd it to make an egg sandwich? I worked in restaurants for 10 years and I would never have dinner that. He let me walk out, loosing the sale.

I have been here 5 times now. The first time I waited in line to order. Since then, I have easily ordered on line. My order is always correct and always waiting for me. Considering I have limited time for lunch, this is a must for me.
The only one time i had a minor issue, the manager took care of it immediately.
The Steak and Cheese sandwich is my fave but I have tried others. Today I had the triple stack. Everything is always fresh and organized. The place is clean. I really really am happy having lunch at Bay City Bistro.

Ordered the Asian chicken salad and it was nothing like described or pictured on the website. It was advertised as a chopped lettuce, cabbage, carrot mix (like Asian salads usually are) and it came as a bed of romaine topped with a few pieces of chicken, some peanuts, and crispy noodles. The dressing was good, but it was not at all what I was wanting. Additionally, we ordered extra Au Jus with the beef sandwich and did not receive that. Customer service was not great at the pickup counter either.

Had a lunch break here. First visit and the place is well organized and clean. I ordered the Ruben sandwich with a side salad and a chocolate chip cookie. The Ruben was delicious. The bread was grill toasted, the corned beef was sliced thin and hot, and the dressing was the correct amount. I like sauerkraut and was pleased I asked for extra. The cookie was also delicious. It was thick without being dry and good quality chocolate chips. I recommend this spot and will be back.

Good place for lunch, in one of the industrial park in Hayward. It has some options for different tastes. The hamburger was OK with a little bit of cheese and couple of mushrooms plus tomatoes.the fries can be better. Good service and nice people at the counter.
