One of the wasted potentials when it comes to Halal food. I don’t know where to start. Well, let me start with the place.
The restaurant is located inside a supermarket, and the dining area is rather random, not well cleaned, and above all, small. You eat while others shop for their groceries. The kitchen is bad, with no hygiene at all in the tools used. The staff working there do not clean their overalls, which adds to the unappealing atmosphere.
I didn’t want to be really harsh, but I was truly disappointed by the place.
The food was bad as well. I love Desi cuisine and consider it one of the best foods ever, but this place really did it poorly. We ordered Chicken Masala and Kebab. The served Kebab was a bit raw and not well-cooked. As for the masala, the sauce itself was okay, but the chicken had this weird taste, as if it wasn’t fresh.
Finally, the prices. We paid almost $38, which is a lot for such a place.
I know I went harsh on the place, but sometimes you critique what you believe could be better, and I really wish they did a better job reflecting this. Halal food for me is not only about following Islamic practices in slaughtering animals or avoiding eating non halal products! It also means hygiene, a good meal, and above all, a good experience that we can proudly share with others.
I had the pleasure of trying their Nihari, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The flavors were rich, the meat tender, and the spices perfectly balanced – a true testament to the authentic Hyderabadi cuisine they’re serving. Every bite took me on a journey to the streets of Hyderabad, and I savored every moment of it.
But the delights didn’t stop at Nihari. The kababs were a revelation – juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. It’s evident that everything they serve is halal, reassuring us of the quality and care they put into their food.
What makes Bawarchi Tandoori not just a restaurant but an experience, are the people behind it. Their warmth, hospitality, and genuine smiles make you feel right at home. They’re not just serving food; they’re sharing a piece of their culture, and it’s an honor to partake in it.
Here we enjoyed the food completely. They make it moderately spiced but the food is flavorful and delicious.
We bought chicken kababs, kabab rolls, garlic naan, goat curry, nihari. Everything was good. The kabab rolls were awesome.
Portions and prices are both good.
Recommend this place.
