Our visit was extremely disappointing, and I feel it’s important to share our honest experience.
We were a group of six and ordered from one of the meal deals. The food we received was not fresh, especially one of the chicken dishes, which I’ve attached a photo of, so others can judge for themselves. When we pointed this out and asked for a replacement, the server refused to take it off the bill. We then asked for it to be removed entirely since it wasn’t edible.
Eventually, the management gave us a $15 discount, not multiple “free items” as they later claimed. Our final bill was $105 including taxes, and we paid in full. Nothing was free beyond that $15 discount.
Now, instead of acknowledging the real issue, the restaurant has responded to our concerns by spreading false statements. They accused us of trying to get free food and even claimed American customers were shocked by our behavior, when, in fact, there were no other customers seated near us while we were dining except the to-go orders.
Also, have a look at the spoon and appetizer bowl.
This isn’t about harming a business. It’s about being honest. The food was poor in quality and quantity, and their response afterward was even worse. We hope this helps others make informed decisions.

Just moved to TN from Illinois and have been trying to find a really good Indian food and Bawarchi was absolutely amazing! The spice level, the amount of food and the desserts were perfect! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Definitely coming here again!

I have a nut allergy, and they went above and beyond to ensure my safety, and were incredibly kind and patient.
I ordered the chicken byriani and it’s DELICIOUS. The flavors are rich and warm, and the chicken is falling off the bone, and beautifully presented.
and note that the spice level was perfect! A nice burn that only enhanced the flavor!
The naan was so buttery and the perfect balance of crispy and soft and fresh!!
The mango lassi is the perfect way to cool down…
It’s raining now, and I got a chocolate pastry and galab jumun (gosh I hope I spelled that right) for dessert and I am in HEAVEN… the perfect way to enjoy a stormy afternoon.
Im embarrassed to say I don’t remember the correct way to pronounce some of the snacks I ordered, but they were super good too!
The kindness, the flavors… it was healing to my soul.

It was my first time here and I loved it! Firstly, the portion size of the boneless chicken biryani blew me away… I’ll be fed tomorrow too lol! It was incredible, the medium spice level is perrrfect. Very flavorful and I greatly appreciated the sauces on the side! The rose milk cake was very nice as well, not overly sweet and fluffy. The man at the counter was very friendly and I even saw him carrying a tray of food out to the car for an older couple, which was super sweet! I’ll certainly be back!! 🙂

Authentic. Delicious. And Delicious. Don’t be fooled by the looks of the place but the food was freaking amazing!! The meats are so freaking tender and juicy and fall off the bone and the seasoning and spices just coming through and it’s just a beautiful dance in your mouth. I will be going back. Samosas were warm so that took away from it a bit, but they were still delicious regardless. Highly recommend

The food at Bawarchi is the best Indian food I’ve had in Nashville. My favorite was the boneless chicken biryani which was so similar in taste to my favorite spot in Bangalore, India. Definitely satisfied the craving! I also cannot say enough about the service here – the staff are so friendly, polite, and thoughtful. I visited with a couple friends to celebrate a birthday – they brought over pastries, cupcakes, and played happy birthday on their speakers! Excited to come back again.

Great food, this is to go place for me and my family. We love the food and i would give your food a 5 star but the reason i have given you a 1 stars is due to your dining area not being clean. The chairs have dirty hands mark / stain / dry food. And tables are not being cleaned with clean towels.

Small place, most of the orders are take away. There is a small dining area outside. Decent restaurant to either dine in or carry out.
They make good dosa with chutney, sambar is ok.
Appetizers are good. Naan is not made in house, probably from Costco.

This is a terrific spot for fantastically tasting Indian food, very friendly and helpful staff, and reasonable prices. There are a lot of great Indian restaurants within a half mile radius and everybody will find the one they like best, but definitely give this restaurant a try if you have not yet.
