Tried the sour beef and it was horrible. Tasted like rubber tiny portion and it was sliced thin as hair with a mountain of the sauce that comes with it. The sauce didn’t even taste right. It’s supposed to taste like ginger snaps but didn’t. I was still hungry after eating the tiny portion. I got a piece of German chocolate cake that tasted like something from BJ’s. My friend got veal schnitzel and paid an arm and a leg and said it was horrible also. I paid $45 for water a piece of cake and horrible sour beef. My friend paid about $70 for two beers and schnitzel that he said was horrible.

We came here for my Dads birthday and we loved it soooo much. We loved that the restaurant was a circle. We also loved that’s it’s ran locally by a family. Everything from the pictures of the wall, to the atmosphere takes you straight to Germany.
The food comes out so fast even for big parties which was highly impressive. I’m so thankful that we came and that we are able to support locally not corporate.
Continue to be a great business in the community.

About half the foo was so bad it was inedible, the other half was just barely passable. I love german food. Vomited on the way home. Food was old, meat was just deli meat. Save yourself and go to Rathskeller or the old stein.
Food is supposed to be enjoyed, not endured.

Loved our experience. Had the ribeye with potato dumplings and mushroom beine sauce with spaetzel. My husband had the burger with potato dumpling and sour gravy. He had the Oktoberfest beer and i had the Black beer. We even had 2 boxes of leftovers. Cant wait to return to this little piece of Bavaria in Maryland. Loved that they have a happy hour. Will have to return with the rest of my crew.

Keeping Max Blob’s legacy alive. Fantastic food and everyone is super friendly. The wurst sampler is the greatest thing ever. You should definitely go hungry and do like we do and get a bunch of different things to share. Everything we’ve tried has been awesome.

Great beer selection, the food was great, and the service was remarkable. The owner came over to see us, made recommendations, and was very friendly during the visit. It is a little on the pricey side, but 100% worth every penny. Make sure someone tries Max’s favorite, you’ll thank me.
