I just have to say how much this place means to me. I’m a native German and have been living in the United States for almost six years. Since moving here I haven’t been back home, and one of the hardest things has been how hard it is to find real German food.

I searched everywhere for familiar tastes — especially things like proper Fanta and herring! I went to countless fish markets and frozen food stores trying to find herring so I could make one of my favorite traditional dishes. Until now, I couldn’t find many of the foods I love… and then I found this company.

Finding them felt like a small miracle. Everything they offer — from the sausages to the cold cuts and more — is absolutely amazing and reminds me of home. It brings back memories and flavors I thought I had lost. I honestly tear up just thinking about it, because I’m so grateful. These are happy tears.

I can’t wait to receive my package and I will absolutely be a recurring customer. If you miss real German sausages, snacks, or drinks — this is the place to go!

I have been ordering my German food from them for over a decade. It’s arrives always fresh. Well made and very delicious. The German rye bread is always fresh and keeps way longer than the German rye I have bought at Frankenmuth. Their food has become part of our family’s German tradition as we celebrate our German heritage at Christmas time.

DO NOT ORDER PERISHABLE SHIPMENTS FROM BAVARIA SAUSAGE. It’s a shame to caution this because the products themselves are great. But the fact is that you are rolling the dice on getting your perishable products in safe condition. I ordered 300 dollars worth of sausage from Bavaria Sausage for an Oktoberfest party. As per instructions on the website, I made sure to order it with 2-day shipping. However, FedEx delivered my shipment late, on the third day. I opened the package within 5 minutes of it being delivered and all the sausages were outside the safe temperature range, and thus not safe to eat. I contacted Bavaria Sausage, and they said they would give me a partial refund on the product itself “as a gesture of goodwill” but would do no more for me because, though I ordered 2-day shipping, apparently FedEx gives itself 3 days to complete delivery, an important fact that is NOT made clear on Bavaria Sausage’s website. They claimed that because they DO say on the website that they are not responsible for weather events (apparently my shipment was delayed because of wind), they were not under any obligation to refund my order. However, it is my feeling that if they know that 2-day shipping doesn’t actually mean 2-day shipping, and they do not pack their perishable items to last through 3 days, they should make this clear on the website. The fact is that if you buy perishable items from Bavaria Sausage, you may be paying a substantial amount of money for food that you will have to throw away. And Bavaria Sausage will tell you, yeah, that sucks.

I always wanted to stop by at this place and check out bratwursts. I think it’s such a shame that it’s only open during weekdays from 9 to 5, which is the same office hours for most office workers. Would love if the place could be open during the weekend.

I was surprised to see that they have a variety of products offered at the place not just meat, but also cheese and other souvenirs like chocolate as well. I bought a few brats and they are pretty good. The price is OK, not super cheap but not unreasonable. The people in the store seemed to be a little grumpy. Just not the best service people, but I assumed it’s a famliy run business and they might not care much about that.

Overall, I would come back again to grab and try new stuff but it’s gonna be hard to find time to visit.

This was my first time at Bavarian Sausage, but it definitely won’t be the last!!! Everything I got is truly authentic, made with Bavarian recipes and love. My Opa (grandpa) was a butcher in Germany. I sat in the parking lot, opened packages, and cried because it tasted like he had made it. The Landjager, Westphalian Ham, and Leberkase are perfect! The staff were so friendly and helpful! Even the other customers were great. Thanks, customer Rick for all of your suggestions and the talk. I cannot wait to go back!!!

I’ve been going to the Bavarian Market since the 70s. They have not changed much since then. Please keep doing what you do. We typically buy brats, potato salad, and beans. The price is reasonable and food is great!

Authentic German sausage and grocery. I bring my mother here so she can have a taste of home. The young man helping us (sorry I didn’t get his name) was so helpful and shared his experiences living in Germany with her. She couldn’t stop talking about him. Thanks for the wonderful service!

I’m ordering many times the German Harzer Cheese, but this time was a couple of them in very bad condition so we can’t eat them.
I ask for a replacement or refund, but the answer is NO we can do that.
What for a bad Customer Service
