Best cupcakes in the East Bay. They have a ton of regular flavors (my kids love the vanilla and chocolate) and great seasonal or limited flavors I loved the bear claw and Boston cream pie. Either way they have a ton of delicious options and make it so easy to walk in or order ahead for custom designs.

Batter n icing is the absolute best place for cakes and cupcakes! I have been going there for many years (even when they were formerly Small Cakes). Their cakes and cupcakes are BOTH delicious and beautiful! I haven’t found another bakery that can do both well! They nail it every time! My children have grown up with batter n icing as their birthday cakes – we are so lucky! I also get housewarming cupcakes for my clients (I’m a realtor) and they always do a stellar job. My clients/friends/family always give rave reviews! I am super picky so trust me when I say they are amazing! Love love love them!

I bought two mini cupcake boxes and noticed one of the toppings was off just as I walked out of the shop. I immediately went back inside, less than 20 seconds later, and asked if they could replace that one piece, but they refused since I had already stepped outside. It was my first time trying this place and I was really excited, but the cupcakes tasted just like the ones from any grocery store. So disappointing. I will not be coming back. It is worth driving the extra 6 miles to Cupcakin in Walnut Creek. They have the best cupcakes in the Walnut Creek, Danville, and San Ramon area.

Attendees had fun bidding as the desserts were paraded around the room and highlighted by our auctioneer. The community really responded.
