We are a small operation that has dreamed of opening a BBQ restaurant since we first got married. When eating our food we want it to feel like a warm hug from a family member or close friend. This is why we always address all our customers as friends and family. Our goal is to make everything from scratch and when possible we want to support local business with our ingredients.

The service was friendly and helpful, home made sauces were unique and they offered a flavor profile for everyone’s taste. Mac & Cheese was out of this world tasty. Meats were all delicious, moist, perfectly done. We rarely enjoy smoked turkey but here my family loved it! Best corn bread ever- tastes homemade with love. We tried FOUR desserts and the gluten free one (yes, they always have a rotating gluten free dessert how awesome!) was so good it brought me to tears of joy. The peach cobbler cheesecake was an absolute show stopper. Banana pudding, apple pie, and pecan pie were also phenomenal.
Tons of gluten free options which makes this a place that cares about consumers health needs, extra thanks folks!

Great customer service and recommendations. I had the mac and cheese with brisket which was decent. The mac had good flavor and creamy cheese. The amount of brisket was a bit low to my standards but it had a good smoky flavor, tender, and the fat was even good. But the overall flavor of the meat was lacking. I had the pepper bbq sauce- it didn’t have any spice to me but it was still good

The owners/family were soooo kind to us…We were trying to order room service from a “resort” that said Batchelor served by come to find out NOPE (which I don’t blame Batchelor for at all) and Mary was super kind to answer all my questions on the phone.
We decided to make the trek in and came to the restaurant…Yummmmm
I’m super glad we came in.
I forgot to get his name but Mary’s brother worked the cash register and showed us the cute family photos at the table; he even brought me refills on my soda & explained the bbq sauces to us as well… He was super nice & just has a great smile that makes you feel welcomed.
The food: coleslaw was yummy, ribs were great as well (my country girl came out and I just ate all the meat with my fingers lol).. Hubby got the turkey, he was very happy & I even stole a couple pieces Brisket was TENDER and not too fatty.
Everything was great… If we lived in Fountain Hills we would go more often.
Thank you Batchelor family you made a crappy night turn in to a much better night with full tummies ❤️

We ordered takeout, and while the pulled pork sandwich was really good, the turkey was thin, dry and salty, and the two orders of cole slaw were pitifully small for $5.25 each.
I replied to their auto-email asking our opinion of the meal and they never responded to our comments.
I guess maybe I’d come back if I’m looking for pulled pork.

If you love BBQ, then give Batchelor’s Pad BBQ a try! We ordered the Maverick pulled pork sandwiches and a Duke brisket sandwich. The coleslaw that they make is FANTASTIC! We also ordered desserts: 1 smoked bourbon pecan pie, 1 apple pie, and a banana pudding. We tried to decide which of those was the best and we loved them all! Family friendly restaurant. A must if you live in or around Fountain Hills.

The brisket is out of this world!
My friend and I wanted 3 pieces of pie, but we were told they only had two. They said they would see what could be done, and we ended up with all three pieces! They are very accommodating! The staff are so very nice!

We had a great experience using the Batchelor Pad as a caterer at our Christmas party. They showed up early to set up, they were patient while waiting for people to arrive, the food was incredible and they were awesome! Highly recommend and can’t wait to eat in the restaurant!!!
