My husband and I tried this restaurant with friends for the first time. The wait wasn’t long for a table of 4 at around 9 pm. What others said about the noise level is somewhat true; In our experience, there was just one booth in front of us where the patrons were loud, but we could still talk and hear (more so when they left). Service/hospitality wise: Our server was very polite and knowledgeable in explaining the menu options to us, and she/the restaurant chefs were very accommodating with altering the meat for the dishes since all of us do not eat pork or shellfish. My husband and I ordered the bread with dipping oil, Caesar salad, bucatini with chicken sausage, lemon ricotta ravioli with no pancetta and chicken sausage added, a magherita pizza, a Chicken & Garlic pizza, and lastly for dessert, a vanilla bean gelato with an order of tiramisu. The magherita pizza was decent; It’s not something I would get again, and the bucatini w/ chicken sausage was not bad either, but it was also not something I prefer for pasta with the texture of the noodle. However, our sever was understanding and accommodated me, allowing me to switch the bucatini to the Chicken & Garlic pizza instead, which is absolutely delicious and has a little spice kick to it! The lemon ricotta ravioli with chicken sausage added is my absolute favorite from what we ordered; It’s super creamy, delicious and flavorful. I highly suggest ordering this dish!! The Caesar salad was hearty and a wonderful dinner portion for 2 to share, and the desserts were creamy, smooth and just delicious. As someone who’s never had authentic Italian food before and would always go to Olive Garden when I wanted Italian, this place actually impressed me!! I would love to dine here again!

great experience!! Joe our waiter was great, making sure we knew we had 6 more minutes of happy hour to order quick haha. We got the lemon hummus with warm bread (called something prettier) happy hour app and the brussels (so so so good). Then for the meal my husband got the pasta with notes of dark chocolate and orange zest and I got the burger. All of it was so good. I wouldn’t be surprised if everything on the menu was impressive because everything we ordered was. especially recommend the fries and the two apps we got!! will be going back

Fantastic lunch spot! We stopped in for the half salad, half sandwich lunch deal. It’s a great value with plenty of food. The salad was crisp and delicious, topped with creamy Caesar dressing. The salami and prosciutto sandwich was toasty and satisfying. The service was fantastic too!

We had a great experience at Basso on the Plaza! Appetizers, entrees, desserts, and cocktails were top notch. Great atmosphere and good service overall. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu. Highly recommended this establishment.

Husband and I had date night here and it did not disappoint!! It was my turn to plan and after browsing multiple restaurants on line, Basso on the Plaza stood out to me. Not only the reviews but because it’s in a familiar location and one that while we waited on the “wait list” we were able to hangout for a while at a local bar, have a drink, listen to some live music and then head over once notified our table was ready!! Our server was great and made some great suggestions too. Can honestly say, we didn’t even have to add salt or pepper because both our dishes were perfectly seasoned! We had the delicious truffle fries for an appetizer, he had the lemon ricotta ravioli (delicious!!) and I had the amazing ricotta gnocchi!! Topped it off with the pistachio gelato & espresso! Sooo yummy!! Will definitely be back again!!

Nice environs, Great service and tasty food. Small but thoughtful menu. We had the crispy meatballs, carpaccio and sea bass. Would get them all again! Sat at the bar during happy hour. It was packed.

Wow the food is off the chart! Top hits; Carpaccio, Bucatini Fra Diavolo and the Tiramisu. They change the menu regularly so if you haven’t been in a month you better check it out! I took them down a star in atmosphere because it’s so loud you can hardly hear yourself think. But they have what it takes to keep you coming back!

Delicious does not even do this restaurant justice. Highly recommend the bread and oil, cauliflower and gnocchi. It was all so fantastic! Pkusbour drinks were very tasty as well! Service was superb and she did a great job. She was informative but not intrusive. Definitely try Basso if you have the chance!

Listen. We came for our work Christmas party on a Friday. Our server, Jessica, was AMAZING. Juggled bartending as well as coming to our booth and taking care of us. She had a 6th sense on when we were ready for more drinks, as well as ordering food and dessert, and was just lovely all around!
