Very good food. All the pasta dishes we had were outstanding. The wedges are great, bread has sesame seeds and toasted to perfection. The pizza was the best I have had in Danbury. And the garlic knots very good but the pricing was strange if you wanted to add more to your order

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I wrote clear instructions to leave mayo off a sandwich because I am allergic, I even called after I placed the order online to confirm they saw the instructions. The man was rude and just kept okaying me and saying he saw it. Well the food came and what do you know it was covered in mayo! I spoke to the manager and what a joke she was! I don’t know how people trust someone like that to run their business, she was beyond rude to me and then hung up on me! After I called Beyond Menu (the online ordering page I ordered their take out from) for a refund she called my job and left a nasty message for me on the answering machine saying that because I called Beyond Menu asking for refund that she will not be correcting their mistake. This place seriously needs a lesson in customer service. I will obviously never be ordering form here again. The food may be okay but the customer service was appalling! I work in customer service and would get fired if I ever treated customers this way. I hope the owners realize they need to update their management to keep customer because based on some other reviews it looks like i am not first victim of this horrible customer. Not mention I ordered while I am work for my lunch break so now I don’t get lunch while I am working.

I was interested in this place because of their gluten-free pizza options. We tried calling in our order which was a gluten-free baked ziti pizza and the person who answered the phone had no idea what I was asking for. This person clearly had no business working at a restaurant when they don’t know their own menu. He told me “I see a gluten-free cheese pizza and a gluten-free gourmet pizza” fully pronouncing the t in gourmet. I quickly realized this person did not know how to take my order and I decided to place the order online as I had seen there was an option to do so. I placed my order for a gluten-free baked ziti and a gluten-free bruschetta pizza with a special note saying *I have a gluten allergy. We waited over an hour for our food which is not an issue although it does become an issue when we wait that long and don’t get what we actually ordered. When my husband picked up our pizza he double-checked to make sure it was gluten-free because the same clueless person who answered the phone was handing out the pizza orders. He tried to make my husband pay for the order when it was already paid for online. My husband went back inside to pick up our CORRECT order and asked once more whether these pizzas were gluten-free because someone has an allergy. He was reassured three times that these pizza’s are 100% gluten-free. After getting home and eating more than half of the pizza, I became extremely ill and realized that the pizza’s we ordered and made sure FOUR TIMES would be gluten-free, in fact, were not gluten free. Both my husband and I made it very clear that there was a gluten allergy and two people lied right to our faces saying they were gluten-free. This place does not care about any of their customers. They do not hire competent employees, their kitchen is slow and makes you wait over an hour and 1/2 for pizza that 99% of the time is not what you actually ordered AND they don’t care about allergies. All they want is your money. So if you want to order food, wait an unreasonable amount of time for this food, get the wrong order, get lied to, and get poisoned when you have an allergy, Basilico’s is the PERFECT place for you. Upon calling them to complain about what had happened, the manager insisted it was my fault for not having selected a place that takes more consideration in preparing gluten free food. I have never once gotten sick from cross contamination so I insisted there had been gluten in the food I was served. After arguing back and forth for quite some time the manager admitted there is no gluten free pasta in house which “could” be why I got sick. No sir, that is the exact reason I got sick and it was clearly labeled as gluten free on your menu. This place is a joke. Based on other reviews they don’t take food allergies seriously which is a major issue considering their business revolves around food.

Pizza was an hour and a half late the first time. Wasnt bad pizza, so I decided to give em another go. Despite them showing up on Seamless and being ONLY 6 MILES AWAY, manager refused to deliver the second time, as they claimed we were “too far for so little tip” (it was the standard 15% tip + delivery fee for all app purchases). Sounds like the manager is a braindead moron and unable to make competent decisions.

Pizza is very good, but be advised about delivery nightmares and owners level of customer service!

We called and placed a delivery order at 5:53pm and they read back our address correctly to confirm , we get a call from the delivery guy at 7pm saying he is lost. It is now 7:15pm. We call back the delivery guys number and now we have his father is yelling at us. Apparently the delivery guy went home with our food before arriving. We then call the pizza place back and question where our food is. The food finally arrives an hour and a half later.

The pizzeria fought us on discount and threatened to take the food back. After much arguing, they gave us approx 50% off for ice cold pizza. The receipt also had the wrong address.

Restaurant used to be good, then it changed hands and recently (Oct 2019) changed hands again. The owners are rude and the employees are unknowledgeable. You’ll be lucky to get your order right on the first try.

They fired Tracey – the only good employee left. Good luck!

Ordered a fairly standard meal tonight (NYE, I get that’s difficult).

Meal arrived missing a calzone which was the majority of my meal.

I called the restaurant and it became pretty clear they just never made the calzone (the pizza guy apparently left before my order). Instead of calling, they just delivered the rest of the order and kept the 20% driver tip. They wouldn’t call the driver and their only remedy was for me to come in 2 days after New Year’s for God knows what.

There were a lot of ways to handle this decently and they didn’t. Awful customer service, I won’t order again.

Side note: I’ve gotten their pizza delivered a few times in a pinch. It’s soggy and underwhelming even when they don’t blantantly miss items.

This has been our go to pizza place. We were regulars @ their Mt. Kisco location & were happy to see that they had a Danbury location when we moved from NY. Unfortunately, our last 2 orders have not been up to their usual standards, ie: no noodles in chicken noodle soup, wrong toppings on pizza, moldy bread, & soggy, rotten salad. The decline in the quality & order accuracy has been very disappointing lately. We’re going to give them one last try as my husband loves their pizza, but sadly, we may have to start looking elsewhere.

I ordered a shrimp scampi pizza and an eggplant rollatini pizza. I was very happy with both of them. They both were delicious, and I would re-order them anytime. The delivery also was right on time, and the delivery person was very nice.

Not good is a nice way of putting it….ordered a pie here once for delivery and it was an awful experience. They were over an hour late past the time they were supposed to arrive and our pie came with all the cheese slid to one side like they had the box tilted in the front seat or something. The cheese itself tasted strange and nothing about this pizza was at all any good. Definitely avoid at all costs.
