We saw this place on instagram showcasing their 1 pound mozzarella cheese stick!! So we gathered our friends and came up to check it out!! Did not disappoint service was amazing food was delicious and atmosphere is perfect! It’s a smaller restaurant so best you have reservations. Also the food portions are large so come hungry or be ready for a Togo box! A lot of great food to choose from. We will make a drive back up again!

First time here but won’t be the last! Let me break it down for you….
Seating – was able to make a reservation for 4 (which is great to have on a Friday night)
Food – we had bruschetta, rice ball appetizer, salad, garlic knots, chicken picatta, eggplant rollitini, tiramisu. Rice ball was authentic like you get in Italy Tiramisu was light cream, great flavor and now I’m wrecked because it was the best I ever had!!! Everything is made in house and it shows in the quality!! You will not be disappointed!!
Service – very attentive staff, waitress was great, but also had bus staff coming around to get our plates, or anything else we needed, and they were eager to answer my question when asked what their favorite dessert was.
Atmosphere – it’s a smaller place, bar in the middle, every seat at the bar and every table was full, with people waiting at the door for tables and picking up to go orders. The vibe is like being at the neighborhoods favorite family owned restaurant with people working that like and care about thier jobs and the business. Then at 6pm they had someone playing and singing it wasn’t too loud or disturbing, just nice dinner music

My family has been eating here since we moved to the neighborhood. We’ve been eating here before they went viral. As a black customer. My family and I have NEVER felt welcomed into this establishment. However, we have supported this business despite because they are so close by. Since they have HIT IT BIG and have gone viral. If you can believe it they are even more unwelcoming and pompous. Especially to the black customers. I have seen the staff personally ignore black customers who were attempting to pick up an order.

I don’t care how good your wrap is. It doesn’t give you a right to treat customers poorly.

Why am I here now? Well…….ive had several issues with the ceasar wrap in the past. Today is the first time I’ve complained that the chicken was extremely burnt because it was inedible. Instead of an apology. I was offered an attitude and an offer for 1/2 off another sandwich.

Stick a fork in me. I’m done. I will make my own wrap from here on out. It’s not worth the TIME it takes nor the ATTITUDE!

“Cozy, warm, and inviting” could not be FURTHER from the truth! Came here for lunch on Saturday. Upon entering we were greeted with “do you have a reservation”, no we did not. The host proceeded to say he would need to ask if we could sit down (with multiple empty tables in the dining room). We then asked if we could sit at the bar, (with multiple empty bar stools at the bar) which he would also have to check on. What?! It’s the bar! We were (after a few minutes of discussion between staff members) then granted permission to sit at the bar. Upon sitting down the bartender informed us that “if we order food, it would be a while due to the kitchen being backed up with in house orders and go to orders”. We went ahead and ordered the lunch specials (which should be quicker, because they’re the specials, right?!). While we waited for our food we watched the entire staff do nothing, essentially. We observed the host turn customers away, with empty tables. Watched the host play on his phone, rather than roll silverware, which was by the door balanced in a high chair. Observed the dining room be left unattended, no staff in sight for multiple stents of time. Saw the bartender turn customers away from sitting at the bar. Observed the bus boy walk from dirty table to dirty table without ever cleaning them. Never saw one to go order be picked up, or placed at the bar, nor the front. The garlic knots were in a tub at the other end of the bar, the cook would come out to get them, cook them, and send them out to tables. Our food finally came out, but everything wasn’t hot. The wraps came out lukewarm chicken, and our sides were cold. When the bartender eventually came back to check on us I immediately asked for the check. This was by far the craziest experience I’ve ever had. I’ve never been to a restaurant where they actively turn customers away! We will never return.

If you’re missing real-deal Italian like you get in NJ and NY, this place is it. From the first bite, it honestly felt like being back up north again. The food was excellent across the board—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The bartender was awesome, super friendly and on point with drinks and conversation. The rest of the staff was just as great: attentive without hovering, and you can tell they actually care that you’re having a good experience.

This is a true hidden gem in town. If you love Italian food and that cozy, old-school East Coast vibe, don’t sleep on this place.

Responses to other reviews:

J.T. – Don’t leave a review because you’re cheap; do it based off the food.

Carl Embry – Your reviews are mid. I wouldn’t take what you say seriously. I see what you consider good, so this is no surprise.

Jessica B – Everything is refillable. Next time, ask the questions correctly. Your car is refillable; that doesn’t mean it gets free gas. Also, ranch is expensive, so good for them to charge. The food is so good here I need them to keep the doors open.

Maria Jackman – What’s a “fruit punch thing”? That’s weird. You’re weird, but that’s cool—people still like you.

Micheal Hegarty – That was your upper lip. Brush next time; the food will smell great.

Richard Mancine – Your review seems coached. What local restaurant do you work at? Let’s go review your food.

Went to dinner with the family for my birthday. Staff was very friendly, great service, excellent food, and wine!!! We had the mega mozzarella, garlic knots, spaghetti, fettuccine alfredo, mushrooms, peach moscato, and eggplant rollatini. Omg… that eggplant rollatini was out of this world!!! Peach moscato was soooooo good!!! Would definitely recommend eating here. We will be back!!! Our new favorite Italian restaurant!!!

Had to try the viral Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap and it did not disappoint! So many different yummy options on the menu though-it was hard to choose! My husband had the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, another great choice. Food was fresh and service was great. Loved the decor and lighting for the holidays. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

I have yet to dine in but have done several pickup orders the ceaser wrap is the best I’ve ever had! Dressing is heavenly and definitely get the blackened chicken. I get a side of their pasta which was such a generous size I had it for a meal the next day. I will be back, gonna try the vodka pizza next!

When your biggest complaint is “I ate everything already?” you know you have a great meal. The fabled lunch chicken caesar wrap I have heard about is as good as everyone would have you believe. The house made dressing is perfect, the romaine crunchy, and the chicken cooked perfectly.

If I could hazard any suggestions to the management – give me an option to make this delicious wrap the size of a small swaddled newborn. I’d up charge that order faster than an Italian grandma can get out the smacking spoon for touching her simmering sauce on the stove.

Fire! We grabbed some takeout on a Friday Night. Online orders weren’t open. I called and called no answer. Finally I got through. I ordered:
1. Tuscan Chicken 10 out of 10. The sauce flavor was robust, garlicy, rich, and the sun dried tomatoes set it off. Very silky and creamy. The chicken cutlet was tender, well seasoned and flavorful. Chef’s KISS.
2. Meatballs!: 10 out of 10. So much flavor! Best Italian meatball Ive had at any Italian restaurant in Charlotte. Held together really well, tender, not too juicy.

3. Chicken Bacon Alfredo: 7 out of 10. The cutlet was good. It was well seasoned, tender and crispy even after a 20 min ride home. The sauce, could have been just a touch heavier handed on the sauce. It was just okay. Needed more garlic flavor and a touch of salt. The flavor profile of the dish was okay. Not a robust flavor but good.

4. Bacon and Blue Cheese Wedge Salad. The small is a quarter head of lettuce. It was a 5 out of 10. The blue cheese dressing could be better.

We didn’t eat in, but it was a jumping place a tell that the good is great! They also had live music inside.
