What an awesome restaurant! The crispy duck was truly an experience worth writing about and we will be coming back whenever we are in Wisconsin. Red curry is spicy but not overly hot and it’s served and the perfect consistency. Drunken Noodle simply was awesome. Casual attire is appropriate and make sure to get a reservation since it can get busy.

Just went to Basil this evening on the recommendation of a trusted acquaintance. The service was excellent. All of the food was spectacular. Perfectly prepared salmon with curry noodles. Also, the Fusion Grilled Chicken was awesome. I’d highly recommend either dish. So glad I was turned onto this place. I’ll definitely return on a future visit to the Wausau area.

I had heard so many good things about this place so my husband and I decided to try it. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was very patient with us and was helpful in describing different items on the menu and telling us about their popularity. About the food: I had the Pad Thai with chicken and my husband had the Spicy Basil Fried Rice with chicken. Both of us agree that the food here is good, but seems a bit overpriced and underwhelming. I liked what I had and I would be willing to go back and try something else, but my dish was pretty ordinary and average. However, I do love that the kind of food available to order here is unique to this restaurant. I don’t think there is another restaurant in the area that serves this type of food.

Gem!!!! Cozy/classy/funky atmosphere. Clean. Good waitstaff. Varied fusion menu but not too out there if you follow. Solid sandwiches and wraps for lunch. Sophisticated dinner menu with a nice appetizer selection. BIG bar selection.
Loved our stir fry. Booths are not comfortable, they kind of force too much forward posture. Makes you want to leave too soon. This is a planned design in low-end fast food restaurants to keep customers moving. I do not believe this was a planned thing here. Just unfortunate booth choice.
Good place to bring mixed company, they have something for everyone from extreme adventitious to fairly bland WASP fare.
I look forward to our next visit.
