So happy we decided go here rather than eating inside the Pentagon mall after a long tour of the Arlington ceremony. Service is quick — you order on a kiosk and then they call out your order number. The interior of the restaurant is nicer than I expected! There’s a bar when you first walk in, plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating is available as well. We sat inside on some stools that faced an open wall of the restaurant so you can enjoy the sunlight and do some people/dog watching.
I ordered a cheeseburger which was a good size, my only negative would be the amount of mayo added (felt it was too much), I LOVED the thin cut fries — shaded a large with my boyfriend and we finished them. My boyfriend ordered a chicken sandwich — he described it as a good quality patty but did add that it seemed like the chicken wasn’t hand breaded in-house. We both enjoyed the basic sauce!

Came here for a quick lunch. Got the Basic Bacon Cheeseburger with Sweet Potato Fries—the burger was good, loaded with their sauce and the meat was juicy and tender. Wasn’t a huge fan of the fries, they were too thick.

The food was really good here, I got the limited time Steakhouse burgers and the turkey burger. I also got some sweet potato fries and an order of onion rings. I also got a refillable soda that allows you to try a lot of hand crafted sodas alongside an Oreo chocolate shake. Most of the soda flavors were good except for the orange it was not bad but not my favorite. The Oreo Chocolate milkshake was really good and I would recommend it.
The burgers were made well and tasted great. The onion rings were good a little burnt on the bottom where it touched the fry cage, but that really was not a complaint. The fries were ok and fresh so I would get sweet potato fries over regular ones.
This is one of the better burger places in Pentagon City and Crystal City so if you are looking for a good burger I would go here over others.

Good quality burger for a batter price than competitors nearby. Fries are okay, but a thin style. I like the thicker fluffy inside, but I ate all these, cooked & seasoned well.

I really enjoyed this place. I had the double cheeseburger with house seasoned fries. Both were very good. They had Stubborn soda. It was good too. Decor is nice. Friendly service. I would definitely recommend this place.

Been here twice, had a bad experience every-time. The last time we came here, my wife found bugs on the lettuce of her lettuce wrapped burger and we found a dead fly in our sweet potato fries. Never coming back again

Unfortunately this place lived up to it’s name “basic” there was absolutely nothing special about the food very greasy and no kne says hello when you come in or pays any attention to customers in dining room so they can do whatever they want two people came from outside with there own cups and filled up at soda fountain no one even noticed

Definitely true to its name!!!! It taste like a natural homemade hamburger. Their other delights you can try the craft sodas is really good it is sugarcane and nothing process which is great. When you order fries as in a picture you will get crispy seasoned fries and they have other types of fries as well. The location of this basic Burger is at pentagon row parking is in aback by the mattress place and world market. Metered parking is 1st come 1st serve. the location adds options to the fast food that’s in pentagon city mall in the food court
