During the month of February, I ate at Basecamp more times than I can count. Unfortunately, I neglected to document most of those meals… except for the most recent one.

Last Saturday I stopped in for breakfast and ordered an almond milk latte, a blueberry muffin, and the elk sausage scramble.

The nice young man who took my order fast-tracked the blueberry muffin when I mentioned I was super hungry. It turned out to be such a good call, because the muffin and latte were so good that I inhaled them before I even remembered to take a picture. I’m honestly still daydreaming about that muffin. It was quite large, light and fluffy on the inside, with the perfect crispy top. The latte was also excellent—beautifully made, with perfectly steamed milk and well-brewed espresso.

The elk sausage scramble is by far my favorite breakfast item on the menu. It includes elk sausage, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, peppers and onions, chimichurri, and green onions. It has the feel of a home-cooked meal—full of flavor and made with fresh, healthy ingredients.

In addition to really delicious food, Basecamp also has a great selection of healthy snacks and candy, to-go beverages, books, notebooks, games, and other activities. I almost always leave having spent more money than I planned.

If you’re in Roslyn, I highly recommend stopping in for a coffee or a treat.

Wow what an amazing place! Local owners too! Just a few minutes of I90 this is a must stop location.
Coffee, books, retail, amazing food and great people!
We stopped today to have lunch, Chef KC is hands up the kindest teddy bear you could ever meet. He showed us around and opened doors along the way, this family owned business knows how to pick them.
We both had the burger today with the kale Caesar salad. So. Good. The spicy blend on the house made hand pressed burger was 11/10!
I wish they offered fries but the healthy kale salad was a nice way round out a great experience.
I wish we lived closer to go to the events hosted in the outdoor area and their speakeasy! We will be back!

This spot offers a unique blend of breakfast café and bookstore, creating a cozy and relaxed atmosphere—perfect for unwinding on the weekend.

The food was decent overall, though nothing exceptional. The tomato soup, in particular, was overly salty, and we found ourselves needing to order extra bread just to balance it out.

That said, the service really stood out. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, which definitely elevated the experience.

Fun vacation town vibe with indoor and outdoor seating available. Busy Saturday morning. I had the avocado toast with three added fried over easy eggs. The bread was well toasted and made a good base, the avocado “spread” I would guess came out of a bag from a mass avocado factory, the tomato was sliced in proportion, and the eggs were woefully overcooked with one missing that came after I was finished. Service was average. I will probably look elsewhere for breakfast next time, only because the choices here are limited.

We really enjoyed a few stops at this shop during our vacation last week! This place has so much to offer!! The bookshop is so much fun. Lots of great books to choose from! The coffee bar was limited, but to really great options! I tried an iced tea that was delicious & an iced chai tea latte that I absolutely loved! It was so different & unlike any other chai I’ve ever had! It had floral notes that were a total surprise, but so yummy! We also loved & spent a good bit of time in the nice turf yard. Our kids enjoyed the outside time playing & running while we enjoyed our drinks! I highly recommend this shop!

Relaxed courtyard/outdoor area in Roslyn!

Ordered the “smash” burger and fries. The fries were terrific, really crispy and tasty! Just wish there were more fries with the combo!

The burger patty was cooked nicely, but had a lot of onions/peppers inside the ground beef… which I’m not a huge fan of.

Service was really nice and surprisingly fast for a weekend.

The outdoor area is very kid friendly and there’s a specific section for dogs (not allowed in the main area). Will be back!

The bookstore is nice but the food was just OK at best. In particular the burger was hard and extremely peppery. My daughter couldn’t eat it and when I tried it I didn’t want it either. The people we were with found a piece of ceramic in their food.

We decided to check out this little town today and was pleasantly surprised by this location. It’s really cool to be in a book store, Cafe, gifts hop combination. We loved the feel of the place and the front and rear views of this little town.
