The food here was decent, a fairly standard Indian meal. The decor and environment are alright, but it was very noisy inside which made it hard to have a conversation.
The main issue was the service. Despite being the first customer to arrive, I had to wait a full 20 minutes before anyone came to take my order for food, which was quite frustrating. Overall, an average experience.

What a great recommendation! Visiting Chester for work and a colleague recommended this place and I’m so pleased that they did! We had such a lovely meal and I have to say I loved the tandoori fish tikka service was great and even though it was midweek it was a good level of busyness!

Lamb Madras and Vegetable Bhuna with pialu and vegetable pilau respectively was absolutely delicious. The madras was not so spicy as to not be able to taste the flavour (and the lamb was so tender to have absorbed the herbs an spice) and the bhuna was a lovely, thick sauce with a wide range of vegetables. We could have eaten the lot but wanted to savour the food so ate half the dish and took the rest home for the next day, to which we’re both looking forward. The service was respectful yet attentive and, while there was a large party clearly enjoying themselves, the seating was perfect. Thankyou!

Great meal for a reasonable price, staff were friendly and efficient.
Food was very tasty, nice quality meats and the naan bread was excellent. A bit noisy but that’s expected on a Friday night. Overall satisfied and would return.

Vidited a few nights ago with four friends, all well versed in food from the Subcontinent.
All gave positive comments on their dishes.
I had Nagpur Chicken, hot but full of flavour.
Naans and Chapatis were excellent as were the side dishes.
Good value these days as, with drinks, was just over £30 per head.
Will visit again if in Chester.

We arrived at the restaurant on time for our reservation this evening, a group of four. We had travelled some distance to meet family in Chester for the evening.
We were sat at out table, menus were put on the table. It was a noisy evening and very busy.We had poppadoms and chutneys.
The starters were excellent. We had asked for table water which eventually arrived after a second request but we were given only two glasses.
We then ordered our main course, one of which involved pilau rice. We had to ask on 3 occasions for the rice which eventually arrived 20 minutes after receiving our meals.
After our meals we asked for two black coffees and were told that they were too busy to make the coffee and they declined.
We then received the bill and it was very obvious they wanted the table for more customers.
It spoilt an excellent meal. We accepted they were busy but we arrived on time and any delay was caused by the waiting time for our meal.
We were at our table for only 95 minutes.
Im disappointed to say we will not be returning as the food itself was excellent but the service was poor.

I really like the food here. I had jalfrezi, rice and chapatti and the usual starters of pickles & poppadoms. Mine was lamb jalfrezi, tender, spicy and plentiful. However, I was eating alone, and not offered another drink or asked if my meal was OK.
Was quite busy so plenty of chatter, couldn’t hear any background music if there was any. I thought the decor was getting a little tired but maybe they’ll invest.
I’d still happily return for the quality and flavour of the food. Remember your fav dish will be different at every restaurant.
Well worth a visit,
Update 25/8/24 – had a few visits here and I really enjoy the food. Full of flavour meat always tender. However I’m finding the interior decor & furnishings increasingly tatty and dirty. The glass mirrored panels near the windows are very grubby and we were seated next to a window looking at a large dollop of bird poo, flooring looks well worn out too. Ho hum

Very nice friendly staff who were eager to help. It was a very busy August Bank as you can imagine but we were promptly shown to our table drinks and papadoom order were taken and served straight, however it did take us (2 adults and 4 children) to make our minds on what to order as there so much to choose from and they all seemed nice. We settled for onion bhaji, lamb chops, king prawn starter and Murgh tikka for starters and the kids demolished the lamb chops and King prawn like they hadn’t eaten for a few days onion bhaji were really nice as rather than give 2 big bhaji they gave 4 small one which were nice and crispy (we didn’t take pictures of starters are like I said they were demolished within seconds) for main we chose lamb handi (lamb chops curry) stir fry chicken (bit like a jalfrezi) lamb tika biryani, prawn bhuna and chicken tika shashlick, mushroom rice, chips and of course their famous huge family naan. For drink we ordered 2 pints of coke, 2 pints lemonade and 2 appletizers and to be honest the lemonade and coke were flat but when we ordered it again later on(they seemed busy so didnt mentioned it to them) they were ok. We loved it so much that we took the left overs home with us. To end the night they gave us very hot hot towels and signature mint chocolate.

Really good food though portions are perhaps a tad on the small size. One star knocked off because we asked for a mild curry and were given a spicy one instead. We sent it back and received a milder one without a problem. However, when you go out with friends, it’s nice to eat together.
