My first experience at a Bartaco. And I can say, it won’t be my last. The food, the cocktails, and the vibe were awesome. My bartender Jay truly did make the best mojito as we stated. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Sad to say I’m flying home today and we don’t have a Bartaco back home but perhaps one day we will. Don’t skip the crispy shrimp tacos and fresh guacamole. Or anything for that matter. Try it all!

We had an amazing experience at bartaco! Chase was our server — super nice guy, easygoing, and made the whole night feel relaxed and fun. Scotty was behind the bar and made the best margaritas we’ve ever had. The pork belly tacos were absolutely unbelievable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

I thought she was our server but she was just apart of the support staff. It looks like she was running that store by herself and she still kept the restaurant upbeat and flowing. Our food came out on time, our service was great. If me or my friends needed anything, she did it with no hesitation. Alex was absolutely great Sunday and we will be back!

Update: Went a 2nd night and food much better. Tacos were good depending upon which one you chose. Pulled pork was great, fish was good, ribeye was like eating two dice, hard cubes of meat. Service was a little slow. Cocktails were weak and pricey.

A great taco place. The Verde salsa was delicious and fresh. We got a variety of tacos. The pork belly was the best. My husband liked the fish taco best. Wasn’t a big fan of the duck taco. The lobster street corn was amazing. The tacos are small. Our server recommend 3 to 5 per person. I also tried the purple haze non alcoholic drink. It was very refreshing. They do use fresh squeezed juice. We will definitely be back.

Disappointing Experience – Won’t Be Returning
My girlfriend and I visited the East Nashville location on Saturday evening. While the atmosphere was nice, the experience went downhill quickly.
Our server initially came by to explain how the menu worked – checking boxes on the card when ready to order – and said she’d be back for our drink order. We then didn’t see a server for 30 minutes. Multiple servers attended to tables around us but literally skipped ours repeatedly. It felt oddly intentional, though we couldn’t understand why.
Eventually we discovered a QR code on the table to order online (which we were never told about) and placed our order that way. This was frustrating because we had questions about the menu items – the descriptions were vague and didn’t explain what was actually on each taco.
The food itself was a letdown. I played it safe with five chicken tacos, but they were completely unseasoned with barely any cheese. My girlfriend’s shrimp tacos were equally underwhelming. The margaritas were actually good, but they couldn’t make up for the poor service and bland food.
For a place with this concept and price point, the lack of attention and poorly executed food was really disappointing. We won’t be back.

The pork belly tacos are the way to go. Our friends Matt had the pork belly and crispy rice bowl and said he could eat this every day of the week. The shrimp taco was good too. Everything is gluten free except the dessert which was exciting for me. I would definitely go back. Great choice. We got the appetizer. I would get plantains separately or cucumbers separate and definitely get 2 guacamole if you have a party over 2.

I ordered through DoorDash and they chose to rip me off. Didn’t include the extras that I ordered and paid for, and gave me less than half a portion of guacamole and no chips. Do not order from this location. Apparently, they knew they could get away with it, and because DoorDash‘s review process is so lame. I don’t even know how to get my money back.
