10/10 recommend! We were visiting Nashville from out of state & were sent to another restaurant however it was closed, so we walked around 12 South and stumbled upon Bar Taco. What a beautiful accident!!!
We were a party of 5 and All absolutely loved it! The tacos were all delicious, I loved the ribeye, duck, shrimp on lettuce & maybe my favorite the Brussels sprout taco!! It was so flavorful! The GM was kind enough to help me find a gift that I forgot to purchase.
Our waiter Johnny was the best, he was attentive and had great suggestions! Also… the tres leches and Churros were sooo good!! I don’t even like tres leches typically!

We needed a quick dinner spot for five before a comedy show, and Bartaco in Nashville was perfect. We were seated right away, the gluten-free options were great, and our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious.
The only odd thing was that everyone’s tacos came out mixed together, so we each kept one or two and passed the others to whoever actually ordered them. Not a big deal, just unexpected.
It was one of our friend’s birthdays, and they brought out freshly fried churros with cream cheese icing and chocolate ganache for dipping; such a nice touch. They were fantastic, btw.
Overall, great service, great food, and a fun spot. Definitely recommend.

Food was great. No complaints there… just a serving system that made things difficult upon check splitting. When we arrived we were instructed to put our names on our order sheets and specifically told if one check was for two people to put both people’s order on one sheet. Totally fine! We weren’t a huge party. 5 of us, 3 checks total. At the end we were given 1 check over 400 dollars. Not complaining about price, we were celebrating accomplishing our 9 hour drive. Two of us are restaurant industry. The rotating waiters probably just took the easy way out and put everything on one tab.
Our entire order didnt come out so we waited for that to be fixed.
We tried the 2 tequila flights. Real good!
Tried just about every taco. Tasted great, small 3 bite tacos. 9/10. Bowls were very filling and the NA Pomegranate Limeade was so good!! 10/10. Fish taco was the best of them all! Street Corn was good too. 7/10. Pork Belly Crispy Rice, incredible! 11/10.
Only reason for a bad rating was simply the service. Hate to say it because everyone was so nice… it’s not hard to write things down and seperate checks.
Hate to leave a poor review but it really threw off a great time and our rush to get to our hotel was at cost.

Bartaco has been here since at 2017 and they really have refined what they do. Their meals are amazing their desserts are great and their cocktails are awesome. I do feel for large groups while our server Haven was great the process delivering their delicious food to a group of 13 needs work. In sushi style you mark on a list what you want. But it’s not easy to determine what’s going to come out of the kitchen when on what plate so you have to ask many times what’s this what’s this what’s this and then you the customer have to get it to the right person so to speak once it’s on your table. Now the server and most of the staff were great at telling you which item is which but you still have to get it to the right person at your table. With that said we were there for a birthday party and the service and food were amazing. I would definitely go back as a four pack or on a date with my wife.

With everything gluten free but the quesadilla and dessert, this place is heaven for me. The roasted duck tasted like chicken and pork, good but not great. The pork belly and crispy shrimp tacos were amazingly crispy and succulent. It took 3 tacos at about $4 each for a light lunch. Service was great and fast. Local parking lots are $19 for the first hour.

We came to a singing nearby and were not able to eat before it abs was looking for something open late night. We were actually trying to get to another restaurant via Maps instructions and couldn’t locate it. We were able to park right in front of Bartaco. This is a cool restaurant with a casual, almost beachy atmosphere right in downtown Nashville. Our waiter was excellent. He answered questions, made recommendations, and engaged in a little chit chat where we found things in common, including that he knew the mayor of our small town! We tried 3 different kinds of tacos (they really are about 3 bites), the Korean barbecue, and the street corn off the cob. We followed up with key lime pie. Everything we had was so good!

Bartaco in Nashville is in such a great spot, tucked into a vibey little neighborhood that’s fun to walk around. The tacos were delicious and the bartaco margarita was on point. Easy place to enjoy a good meal and a relaxed atmosphere.

Dined out with you all tonight after a couple years out of Nashville and I was a little bit disappointed/unfamiliar with the new order style. I’ll start with the positives because there were a bunch, really solid service staff. Our server Drew was very friendly and the other faces that stopped by the table were not only as friendly but just as helpful. Food was really delicious as always, but the main highlight of my meal was the mango “March margarita of the week”. Deliciously tart cocktail with some healthy notes behind it which always makes you feel a little bit better about your drinking!
Couple things that weren’t as awesome – first round of drinks took a good chunk of time to hit the table, in between the 10-15 minute range I’d say. Granted, we did have a bigger ticket with 5 drinks on it, but to me, some form of recognition for the wait time would’ve been a nice touch.
The order style!! I was really disappointed to not be able to order food and drinks as I please on my phone like we used to be able to. I’m sure you all have your rhyme and reason behind it, but the difference in style was palpable when drinks took a little bit longer and when we found ourselves with a packed table of small bites that weren’t as special to me when surrounded by so many other dishes. I’m sure efficiency in the restaurant and especially the kitchen has multiplied tenfold, but at the same time sometimes it’s nice to have a server check on you because they want to, not just because you put up a card summoning them to the table.
I don’t mean to sound so critical as this was a great dining experience and it’s always a pleasure dining with you all. I know you’re a very attentive staff, but I think a couple tiny little things could’ve made the experience even more special than it was. Thank you much for having us:)
