The service was quick and my waitress was friendly and attentive. The food is just as good as I remembered. I especially love that you can order tacos individually, which makes it easy to mix and match and try a variety. I had the pork tamale, fish, shrimp, Brussels sprout, and chicken tinga tacos – every single one was delicious (my favorite was the fish and brussels sprout). I’ll definitely be back!
The drinks were just as good not overly sweet or fake-tasting like most places. You can tell they use real ingredients. We tried 4 different cocktails and all were top-notch.
The vibe was perfect for a sunny afternoon chill, stylish, and the outdoor patio made it even better.
If you’re looking for a place to eat good, relax, and enjoy some real flavor (without driving all the way to Philly), Bartaco in King of Prussia is it.
Food: we started with the Guacamole and Chips. It’s a cool concept as the chips come in massive rounds that you get to break apart. The guacamole itself was great but for a dish not marked as spicy, I definitely felt the heat. I enjoyed it but my wife who has no spice tolerance found it tough to eat. For mains, my wife got the tuna rice bowl and loved it. I got three tacos: Baja fish, pork belly, and the duck. The tacos were good but the duck was a clear winner. We also received three sides: brown rice, esquites, and the cucumber salad. The rice was super bland, but the other sides were great. Again, the esquites were not marked as spicy but did in fact bring some heat. For dessert we ordered the churros and although they were slightly overcooked, they were still great.
Service: our waiter was great. Very friendly and attentive. That being said, food and drinks took WAY too long to get served. We sat down and ordered drinks and guac pretty quickly. About ten minutes later ordered our mains. The guac came out quickly, but drinks took another 15 minutes to arrive. The sides arrived next about 20 minutes before our mains arrived. All told, it was 45 minutes for tacos to come out of the kitchen. The churros took another 15 minutes to come out. Staff was super friendly and really knowledgeable, but our server was genuinely surprised that we hadn’t received our main courses. It’s not that guys fault, I just wish the kitchen was better timed.
Overall we had an enjoyable meal, I just wish the service wasn’t so slow.
Abby and Luke took care of us and they were fantastic. They were friendly right away, checked in often without being overbearing, and gave some great recommendations from the menu. It felt like they genuinely wanted us to have a great experience, which you don’t always get at busy restaurants.
If you’re visiting Bartaco in King of Prussia, definitely ask for Abby and Luke. They made the whole meal even better and absolutely deserve recognition for the service they provide.
The food, drinks, and dessert were phenomenal (highly recommend the tres leches and key lime pie), but the service from Abby and Luke was the highlight.
They were welcoming, attentive, and had awesome energy the entire time. They helped us navigate the menu, made sure everything came out quickly, and kept the table taken care of without us ever needing to ask.
It’s always noticeable when hosts and servers go the extra mile, and Abby and Luke definitely did. Service like that makes a big difference.
Big shoutout to Abby and Luke for making the visit such a great experience! We’ll absolutely be back.
