Steven provided such an outstanding experience at bartaco in Stamford. From the moment we sat down, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about making sure we had a great time. He knew the menu inside and out, gave thoughtful recommendations, and made sure our drinks and food came out smoothly and quickly. His positive energy really elevated the whole meal.
What stood out most was how personable and professional he was at the same time. Steven checked in at the perfect moments without ever being overbearing, and he made us feel valued as guests. Great service can make all the difference, and he absolutely delivered. We’ll definitely be coming back and hoping to sit in his section again!

Steven was absolutely fantastic at Bartaco! From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. He made great recommendations and checked in at all the right times without ever hovering. Our drinks were always full, the food came out perfectly timed, and he made the whole experience feel effortless. You can tell he really cares about what he does. Pretty good spot. The food was good and the prices were fair. The Ahi Tuna Bowl had too much sauce and was way too salty. Our waiter was pretty nice but the QR code they have you scan at your table doesnt work and the phone service is terrible. You have to scream to talk to people at your table because the music is way too loud. Also why is guac and chips $10?

This place was recommended by a friend. I was in Stamford on business and almost didn’t have time to stop by. SO GLAD I did! The restaurant is fantastic, the atmosphere, the staff, everything. The food was fresh and flavorful! And the key lime pie was the most flavorful I have ever had! When I come back to Stamford I will definitely stop again!

Food was good. , but rest of experience not great. For starters the order was 2 esquites, and 5 tacos (all marked down on the provided paper), a coffee was ordered and a “green juice” margarita . One taco was missing and they never brought me my margarita. I would have mentioned it to the server but after the tacos came, there was no follow up. (Luckily we were not charged for either). The tacos come out on a shared plate, but we were never given plates to eat on, and there were no napkins on the table (I had to go to another table and take from there). After finishing our tacos, no one acknowledged that we were ready for the bill, finally after some wait someone came by and I asked for the bill. They left the bill on the table and never came back around to take it. I had to walk to the bar to ask if I can settle my bill.. at that point they said they will send a server over. So final review; food – at the least the portion I did receive was good, drinks- couldn’t tell you because mine was not given to me, service-really bad. Probably will not go back based on service alone.

I really enjoyed the mango margarita—it was delicious! The food was also great, and I thought it was a nice place overall. The prices were reasonable too. I’d definitely go back and recommend it to others.

I would call this place Mexican “inspired”, with most of their dishes looking/sounding like actual Mexican food but always being remixed somehow. Their food is REALLY good, but the waitstaff all act like they’re annoyed you’re here and are trying to turn your table from the second you sit down. The mocktails are great, there are tons of vegetarian options, and if you like going out with friends and splitting several things then this is a great option since everything is very bite-size and sharable. (Read: tiny portions which you may not guess by the prices.)
