The Barro’s Pizza recipe comes from Grandma Angelina Barro who came from Italy in the 1930’s, providing a pizza unlike any other. Extremely disappointed with my experience today. I ordered a single X-Large pizza and paid with cash. Not only was the pizza burnt and nearly bone-dry with almost no sauce, but I was also shortchanged by $20. I trusted the cashier when they stated the amount, but after counting it at home, the math didn’t add up. Poor quality control and a major hit to my wallet. I won’t be back.

This is a pretty good pizza spot. Cooked to order, always tastes fresh. Pizza is a little greasy, but you kind of want that in a place like this. Friendly staff, Vaeh is a standout. She answered all my menu questions in a very knowledgeable and warm manner. Good wings too, and I enjoy the Chicago centric decor. Sports on TV, clean dining room, decent for families or just takeout. Ask for Vaeh, she’s an expert on everything Barros!

Have eaten at another Barro’s many times, with positive experiences. This was terrible. Had 5 adults and 2 children. Took forever to get our food, which I asked to be served all at one time. One adult and child served, 10 min. later a couple more orders. Finally all served,but pizzas were way overcooked. Wings hard, as overcooked. I am an AJ resident,and was hoping for a great local pizza place to take family and friends. This is not it.

1st time and ordered to go. Arrived to pick up. Only to find that my pizza was given to someone else. They returned it and at first they were going to just give it to me until I said something. They corrected and made me a new pizza. Which was very good. However the cookie was burnt on the edges. So will likely return but will be careful and not order the cookie again.

Ordered a medium thin crust pepperoni pizza. Their pepperoni is so good. I dont know why, but it is. And I liked it being over cooked. The cheese tastes good that way too. Thanx Barros Pizza for making pizza the way I like it.

Came in to do a delivery service through a third party. There was a situation that had went wrong and I want to say that Alana handled all situation with professionalism. She was knowledgeable, handle all situation with care and detailed! She is a superstar, she went above an beyond to make sure everything was correct with care for the customer orders and diffusioning difficult situations.

Update… ordered again tonight BUT the wings were dry and no extra sauce like I asked for and some of the celery was rotten. Disappointed this time around. Moved my rating to a 4
Best pizza and wings I’ve had in a looong time. And I was in Chicago recently…my delivery driver was so kind. I will for sure return to the store to give an extra tip to all the workers. As they all had a hand in making my craving sooooooo worth it. I got it 20 minutes early AND piping hot!!

The staff was lovely!! I was helped by Kaydn and Emmalee who made sure I had everything I needed and the food was amazing. I would definitely come again and it was so refreshing seeing how they interacted with customers.

Walked in and ordered food and was told it would be about 25 minutes before it was ready. Left and came back 30 minutes later and was told that it wasnt ready yet, it would be another 20 to 25 minutes. Sat down and waited and waited and waited. When i went back up 30 minutes later I was told that the have been calling my name. I said nope I have been sitting right here. Then they proceeded to argue with me. All of my food is cold. With the amount of money they charge for food they could at least hire competant people instead of people who take no accountability and forget about food that was ready in the first place. If your going to have kids running the show then a manager needs to be overseeing the operation. Absolutely horrible experience.
