I would not recommend eating here. This picture is of the “grilled cheese” I got *after* I had already asked for it to be toasted for longer. I was disappointed by the preparation and honestly not sure how the staff felt okay selling me this as a grilled cheese.

Great tasting coffee and sandwiches! Their wine and liquor selection is quite large. There is a fridge with chilled beer and wine too. My husband, who loves bourbon, is impressed with their selection. They also have coffee presses, and other fun and unique purchases. It can take a long time to receive your order. Also, it is very loud inside, and if you are not standing near the station where drinks are placed, you will not hear your name being called. There is a large room in the back with a very large dry erase board that can be reserved, perfect for meetings.

Finally I found a good coffee spot in the city. Cortado is excellent , made perfect to the ratio. Espresso is excellent. Friendly staff. This store also sells wine and liquor !

Great food, great coffee, phenomenal service! Coffee order was made quickly and the cold brew was excellent! The young gentleman who took my order during lunch on March 24 was also very patient with my hungover self and my lack of coffee that morning. Would recommend to anyone in the area. The power burrito was especially delicious.

The coffee is ok. The vibe is good but it’s usually hard to find a spot to sit. I ordered a grain bowl and after 20 minutes of it not coming out I went up to the counter and they said they “just saw the ticket and will start making it right away.” No apology or comp. That was a bit annoying. It was pretty good but could have used more flavor. I got my money’s worth in pine nuts though!

Nice little coffee shop. I had the Mexican Mocha and it was delicious.

Ordered two power burritos, which should have chicken in them. Approximately 1/3 of the greens were completely rotten and there were barely 5 pieces of tiny chicken inside of each burrito. In addition to sub-par food, the cortados were as bitter as I’ve ever had. Certainly not meeting the expectations for a speciality coffee shop. Save your money!
Instead, I highly recommend Broken Board coffee on East Springs Drive. Located inside of a skate shop, this owner knows how to make coffee, sweet and delicious without the need of sugar. Trust me… It will be worth the drive!

We stopped in for takeout coffee and hot chocolate drinks. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. However, we waited over 15 minutes for our drinks. When we received them they were in cups for dining in versus to go. Not a big deal other than they kept taking orders versus finishing orders. I guess it is a good and evil with a product people want and not enough people to provide it. Overall our coffee and hot chocolate drinks were very good.

I find the environment at this Barriques ideal for working with a cup of coffee for intense days, or chitchat with friends over a glass of wine. If you are feeling bookish, there is a public library a block away to rent a book and sit down with your favorite beverage. Great coffee, selection of wine and atmosphere. Food items are decent too. Now a few minor gripes. Baked goods are below average. The place can be a bit dirty and unkept at times.

I love the vibe of Barriques on Monroe St as well as the drinks and food options. When I’m looking for a place to get some writing done and also have tasty options in a convenient location, Barriques is the move for me.
