I have been to this place twice. The restaurant is located in Jojos Diner-West next to a cigar place. I’ve been twice as dine in and today take out. I really love the food it’s really good and is always consistent with presentation and flavor. I like to see how the service is both in and out to test a place. The service was better last time as the waitress interacted with us. Today, I went in and asked for the peruvian menu as their is an “classic” menu too. I sat at the bar and then waited for the bar staff to take my order. After taking my order I know that the food will take about 25-30 minutes as they make it from scratch so I sat at the bar. I was disappointed as the bar staff didn’t ask me if I wanted a drink. She was always on her phone surfing and stood at the end of the bar. If I had been a guy I wondered if she would have asked. I really wanted to order a pisco sour. The atmosphere could be way more friendly, welcoming and even helpful even make conversation with patrons.They would do really well if they had live music and the place could have a small dance floor and peruvian theme nights.

As a native peruvian myself, this was surprisingly good. Beat my expectations, by a good margin. Only thing I didn’t like was the rotisserie chicken (Pollo a la brasa), it was DRY, even the thighs and legs were very much dry and as everyone knows it is hard to make thighs and legs dry. Besides that, AMAZING experience. Even with this, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by.

All the dishes we’re good. I got the chaufa and you definitely can’t go wrong with it. Was a little strange finding the location at first since Barrio is pretty much just a special menu provided within JoJo’s diner.
