Update- this brisket was already trimmed and portioned when I got it, and it was a bit heavy handed on the trimming for my tastes.

I’ve been meaning to eat here for a long time. I finally did yesterday while letting my dog get some exercise at Hops and Hounds, I was surprised by how much the food exceeded my high expectations. We shared the pork belly burn ends and fried rice, in order of wings (which came with a very refreshing and nicelyacidic cucumber salad), and an arepa. All three were out of this world. The wings (that sauce? ) are definitely the best in town, and the pork belly burnt ends and fried rice was probably the single best executed bite of food I’ve had in Oak Ridge.

I have eaten here 4 times now and everything they have is so filled with flavor and freshness. Incredible wings, Incredible empanadas, fantastic & friendly family run business. I highly recommend eating here. Everything is priced fairly and served hot and fresh. A true 10/10 Hidden Gem of Oak ridge!

Oh. My. Gosh. This was some of the most delicious food I’ve had in a while! The empanadas were fresh and crispy and so full of flavor! We got both of the cheesy corn pancakes, which I could just eat as a meal. We splurged and grabbed the bulgogi beef bowl and I am SO happy we did! It was so flavorful and tasted better than some of the restaurants we’ve been too. We can’t wait to go back for more!

Absolutely delicious food and wonderful family that runs it! While I don’t have a dog (my sweet girl passed years ago and I haven’t been able to get another pup since), this place is a dog-lovers dream hangout spot! Very cool atmosphere, I wish I lived a bit closer!

They’re food is the best. They served breakfast at the winter farmers market so tasty I was coming back every week for it even if I didnt have shopping to do. I fully intend to become a regular now that they are at Hops and Hounds.

I love eating at Barriga Llena. Everything I’ve tried has been great—the pulled-pork nachos, the wings, the arepas (with fried cheese and local sausage). But my personal favorite are the empanadas. They’re packed with a perfectly seasoned beef and potato mix, and the crispy Colombian-style corn masa dough makes them stand out from any others I’ve had. I’ve already made a few trips back just for the empanadas, and honestly, I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. If you’re nearby, it’s definitely worth checking out.

We had the pork sandwich with macaroni salad and the chips and queso. I usually don’t like pulled pork more than our homemade but dang, that was a delicious meal. Highly recommend.
