On our third visit to St. Simons Island, my wife and I decided to give the Barrier Island Brewing Company a try for lunch yesterday. With our Golden Retriever in tow, we requested a spot in their outdoor dining area and were quickly seated. The space is essentially a large tent, with 10 to 12 tables underneath, and large screen TVs at either end for patrons to enjoy. There’s also a corn hole set tucked away in the back corner. With a gentle breeze flowing through, the atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back.
Within moments of being seated, our waitress, Sophia, appeared to take our order. We went with the Caesar salad with shrimp and a potato chip sautéed steak skillet. Both dishes arrived looking mouth-watering and tasted even better. We came in hungry and left completely satisfied, with leftovers to spare. In short, you definitely get your money’s worth here.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention our server, Sophia. She greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and was both friendly and efficient, checking in frequently to ensure we had everything we needed.
Barrier Island Brewing Company has quickly become our favorite spot on the island. We’ll definitely be back before we depart for home and will be sure to visit on every future trip.

We went our first night on the island since it was recommended and enjoyed the fish tacos, burger and beer. Ended up going again our last night on the island because it was so good. The food and beer were great again. Consistently good food and not overly priced with great beer selection.

Food was excellent! Our waitress was super sweet and the food came out quickly. The Shrimp Cake… delicious !! No sauce needed. I got them on my salad . Very welcoming atmosphere, with very courteous staff.

This was a great choice for our first night on the island. The beer was great and the food was excellent. The fresh catch was Mahi, so the fish and chips and the fish tacos were made with delicious Mahi! The beet salad fulfilled my cravings for beets, and the added blackened chicken was perfect!!

Absolutely love this place. We stopped by for a late lunh for my special birthday weekend on Friday, Jan 9th. Service was absolutely hands down some of the best service we have had in the area. Food- incredible. My husband got the grouper sandwich, I got the pork chop sandwich. Both were amazing and I don’t normally eat pork chops- like ever but tried on the recommendation of our server. Absolutely outstanding recommendation. Our servers had to switch out as we came in between shifts and both were perfect. Aleats making sure our food and experience was great. Beer- Outstanding and we aren’t big beer drinkers. If we could give this place a 10 we would. Hats off to the kitchen staff too- that was some of the best food we have had on our trip. Keep up the amazing service and food. Highly recommend and we will be back.

This was a very cute location with beautiful plants and decorations. We were met immediately by the host and sat rather quickly. We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese as an appetizer, so warm and delicious. As a group we ordered shrimp cakes, caeser salad, fish tacos, and a few drinks such as vodka and cranberry. The food was good, the atmosphere was a little overwhelming just due to the size of parties and the amount of room available. There was a Bachelorette party, families, and couples. There is also outside seating available.

Kirsten, our server, was fantastic. So kind, relaxed, helpful, and funny! The four of us ordered 2 fish and chips meals and the fried grouper (locally sourced) was the best any of us have had in a very long time. The beer selection was fun to try and the beignets were just the right thing at the end of our meal. Have to also mention the water for our water glasses is triple filtered (no sulfur taste)-a big deal for us! Thank you for a great meal and experience!

I’m a first-time visitor, and I had an amazing time! Trey, our bartender, suggested the potato chip skillet with these house made kettle chips, and it was absolutely incredible! It was the best appetizer I’ve had in ages. I highly recommend this place – the drinks and food are both outstanding.

The food was amazing. The fish tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had. The brussel sprouts and beet hummus were delicious. We went two nights in a row and were only on St. Simons Island for 3 nights. Our server, Meredith, was fabulous and big part of the reason we returned. I can’t wait to come back.

Visiting St Simons for a few days we had to stop at a brewery as brewers ourselves The burger and fish and chips was super yummy but also the cocktails were good and beers were awesome. We tasted 4 beers while there and all were 10/10. Happy hour was a great deal with discounts on wine, drafts AND HALF OFF a few select appetizers. Also.. staff was so kind (totally knew we were tourists :)) and were happy to chat with us! Also, beignets were sooooo good… Definitely visit if passing through!
