Barrelhouse is a friendly contemporary bar conveniently located in Downtown Burlingame in the heart of the SF Peninsula. We offer a great selection of beer, wine, spirits and craft cocktails. While we are not a full service restaurant we do offer a variety of Empanadas and Charcuterie to snack on. For larger groups we use a caterer. With amiable service and cozy décor Barrelhouse is great for walk-ins, large groups and company events.
Trendy joint pairs pub grub with craft beer & cocktails, plus occasional live music & a patio.

Barrelhouse Bar is a trendy spot that has an impressive selection of craft beer, wine, and cocktails. The service here is noticeably friendly and attentive, and I was especially impressed by their creative craft cocktails and delicious empanadas. Been here q couple of times so it wasn’t a one off thing. Nice neighborhood bar with good vibes and good crowd. Service is also attentive.
But the one thing they exist for which is the drinks they do a horrible job at it. It’s probably deliberate so patrons order many drinks.
First time we ordered long Island and it was ok, second time we ordered tequila based cocktails with grapefruit and hibiscus. The hibiscus one camein a thin glass with a big ice piece and not much drink if you remove the ice. The drinks itself tastes like fruit cocktail with no hint of alcohol.
Then we decided to do shots and we’re quotes $47 a shot for a top shelf tequila. The waiter herself said don’t waste money. We ordered regular one and the first shot taste ok but second was really flat. And all of these drinks/shots are $16/17.
Probably not visiting again even if someone is picking the tab.

If you’re into craft cocktails, this is a place you can’t miss. Every drink is meticulously tailored to your palate. The matcha cocktail is luscious. The old fashioned is perfect. They also have tasty empanadas.

This is a really cool place, with some amazing cocktails. The espresso martini is getting some popular views on social media these days. It is a beautiful drink. I found it a little sugar though.

Good place to stop when in the area. Has indoor and back patio. Only food option is empanadas which you have to order chimichurri separately. No shared plates or utensils. They had special holiday drinks. Their regular menu has a mushroom bourbon drink. It had an umami taste that was subtle.

Had a wonderful experience at Barrelhouse. It’s nice how they are one of the few bars that stay open till 2am. The bartenders were prompt and had excellent service. The drinks and cocktails were on point as well. Loud, but okay enough have conversations
