This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Mason. Writing this in hopes that something changes!! Had it this evening and was really disappointed with the quality of the food. The spinach cheese dip was one of my favorite dishes. Unfortunately today it was very disappointing. The cheese on top was hard to get a chip through the spinach seemed like it came from a frozen block. It used to be creamy and delicious. I got the sliders and the patties were very small compared to the large size of the bun. Also the toppings were just thrown on and had no coordination. Other members at the table got the boneless wings and chicken wrap which both were not good at all. The only good thing this evening was the alcoholic drinks. I am hoping Barrel House can bring back the good stuff!

If I could rate the beer I would have given it 5 stars! The food was good. I got the fish and chips. It was tasty. I loved the homemade tartar sauce, real cut up pickles! I didnt like the how it wasn’t 100% clean. I saw a lip stain on the glass and the silverware could have been polished better. However, the service was great. I waited like 2 minutes for a someone to sit me. It wasn’t busy when I went. I’m from out of town and I wanted to try something that isn’t around where I live. It was fast and once again the beer amazing! I also loved the festive decorations and cheer!

I travel a lot and consider myself a pizza connoisseur of sorts. I stopped by to try a pepperoni sausage and bacon pizza and everything from the crust to the sauce to the toppings were top-notch and flavorful. The pizza size wasn’t very big but what this pizza lacks in size it more then makes up for in taste and quality. A+

I had dinner at Barrel House Kitchen and Bar in Mason after a friend told me they had the best French fries ever—and wow, they were right! Perfectly crispy and seasoned just right, they were definitely a standout.
I started with the cheesy spinach dip appetizer, and it did not disappoint—so creamy, packed with spinach, and topped with perfectly baked, gooey cheese.
Since they’re known for their pizza, I went with the Margherita pizza, and I immediately understood why so many tables were ordering pizza. Fresh, flavorful, and delicious!
Our server, Paige, was wonderful—attentive, delightful, and had such a great smile. One of the investors, Galvin, even stopped by our table to check on our experience. He was super friendly and clearly takes a lot of pride in the restaurant.
We definitely plan on coming back soon. Highly recommend!

Nothing to complain about. Everything was great. Our waitress was attentive and nice. Thank you. Food was good and when we went it wasn’t very crowded, but this was early afternoon. Not sure what supper traffic is like. We’ll be back for sure. The pizza is very good as it’s a fire cooking process. Don’t find too many of those around this city. Pretty cool. Lots of food choices as well.

Good food. A mushroom and swiss burger, that was very delicious and filling. The appetizer was ok. Had a Caesar salad that was good. My wife had a pasta dish made with vegetarian meatball. She said it was good. I believe we ate hear years ago. Had the pizza. I saw a few folks ordered pizza and it looked good. It is wood fired or brick over cooked. Had a sports bar feel, with games on the different tvs. An outside and glass inclosed area were a nice touch. Check them out.

Stopped at Barrel House for dinner on a Sunday, was surprised how slow they were at dinnertime. Wife and I ordered drinks, wife soft drink came fast but my beer was a little more than 10 minutes.
We ordered an appetizer, (buttered knots) that took another 20 minutes but they were hot and delicious.
I ordered pizza, which I liked, had a decent amount of toppings and was hot. Wife ordered chicken pasta, only had 1 bite-sized piece of chicken that she could find. She enjoyed her meal though.
My son’s joined us, one ordered a meatball sub, no top bun and the meatballs fell apart, had to eat it with a fork.
Pricey, 4 meals and I ordered one beer, the rest had soft drinks, our bill was $109.
Server was friendly but not attentive much, we had to ask another server to send ours to our table so we could get refills. I would be more forgiving if they were busy but there were only 4 other tables of people.
Overall, it was mediocre, and priced higher than it should be. Either lower your cost or increase the quality of their food.

I have only been to this location for lunch and I thought it a sister establishment to the one in Lebanon, it is not. Nonetheless, Barrel house is worth a try. Their pizzas are great and have a great undercarriage with a nice thin and crispy taste. My personal favorite is the hot pie.
Their chicken wings are good not my most favorite wings but they did the trick. Service was great and atmosphere was amazing as well. I do think that the prices are a bit high for the quality of the food but not too far off.

Came here for an anniversary dinner. We were greeted immediately which was great, but our server was the main issue. Before we could even look at the menu she was asking for drinks, but was then walking away before I could even ask for an appetizer. Food came out fine, except for my fries being ice cold. After our food came out, our server asked how it looked. We said great. Then she didn’t come back until we flagged her down, literally was no where to be seen, almost 25 minutes later to ask for the check. Would have loved another water, marg and beer, probably some dessert but that didn’t happen. Not likely to return, or if we did would specify for her not to be our server.
