Barrel & Bones absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and lively without being overwhelming. The smoky aroma alone lets you know you’re in for something special.
The brisket was perfectly tender with a beautiful bark, the ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious, and the sides were just as impressive (don’t skip the mac & cheese or the loaded potatoes!). You can really taste the quality and care that goes into everything they serve.
Brooke was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Great food, great service, and a great vibe — we’ll definitely be back.
Highly recommend if you’re craving legit Texas BBQ!

Casey was absolutely charming. Putting a smile on our faces after a rough night coming here unexpectedly had us laughing in the first minute and 12 seconds. He brings fun with playful one spoon for our appetizer an tells me when my man can eat or brings me a drink/orange slices with a bow for “your highness”. Absolutely made our night. Leaving with corners of our mouths to our ears. Cannot recommend higher. Great guy great calm atmosphere with good people.

Smells great outside but when we walked in it smelled like floor drain went dry and sewer gases coming out. No one was there to greet us and they only had two people working. One girl behind the bar and another in the dining room. We were charged extra for meat on the Game day nachos even though they said pick your protein nothing stated extra charge for protein. I asked for pulled pork on the nachos and I was given something different. It took to long to ask for a correction on our bill and they gave us cash back instead of refund on our credit card bill. Does entered the restaurant and walked through to the patio. If you have plenty of time they have a good wall of sports tv on for viewing. They have a decent amount of drinks and a vast menu of food to choose from. I had been wanting to try this place for three years now. I might be back but not anytime soon.

The brisket potato was massive and delicious. I wouldn’t recommend doing takeout on the nachos. My husband loves the banana bread pudding.

The spot to be at in downtown Carrollton. Hang with all the locals and enjoy some good food. The food here is always solid as well as the bourbon list! The smoked chicken wings are out of this world even without sauce! They even have quite the selection of local breweries on tap. If you are wanting to watch your favorite sports team, this is the place to be if you want to hang out with some friends and eat some good food. One of my favorite spots in DFW metroplex.

Casey (thought he was the owner) but best bartender ever, is absolutely amazing! Not only did he recommend the perfect brisket, ribs and sides. Which was AMAZING. He was so hospitable with samples of whiskey for us to try, we didn’t even know how many whiskeys were offered! Great job. The food is amazing. The beer and a million whiskey choices were amazing. I will 1 million percent be back!!

Barrel and Bones is the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. Tucked right into historic downtown Carrollton, it’s filled with great energy in a way that keeps you hanging around longer than you planned.
The service is top‑tier—friendly, fast, attractive, and genuinely attentive. Ask for Casey! Whether you’re grabbing a seat at the bar or settling in on their spacious, big‑dog‑friendly patio, the staff makes you feel like a regular from the start.
If you’re looking for fun, this place has plenty of it. Playing pool is always a blast, and the atmosphere makes it easy to strike up conversations with good people. It’s also a great spot to catch sports games—lively but never overwhelming.
Between the welcoming crowd, the great food, and the relaxed vibe, Barrel and Bones is the definition of a good time. Whether you’re here for a meal, a drink, a game, or just to unwind, you’ll walk out already planning your next visit.

Our original plan was to eat at the aviator wing spot, and we were glad it was closed down! Barrel and bones were right next door, and we decided to give it a try. Appetizers were beautifully displayed. I’m big on eating with my eyes whoever was in the kitchen took pride in their work on making the food look good!! The BBQ platter was perfect for our family of 6. Definitely will be going back!

Came in for late night drinks and yappitzers with my wife, and ended finding a new go to spot. The food and drinks were beyond expectations and the service was some of the best I’ve gotten a long time. Kacey was nice, personable, and friendly! This was a pleasant surprise, and I will definitely be coming back to visit a new favorite! 🙂

We brought a group of 85 people here and this BBQ joint absolutely crushed it. From the moment we arrived, the staff was organized, friendly, and clearly prepared to handle a crowd our size. Service was fast, smooth, and stress-free — no small feat with a group this big.
The food was great: smoked meats, great portions, and classic BBQ sides that everyone loved. Everyone left full.
It also has many tvs and was a great atmosphere to watch a football game!
