The Barrel Bar has been in existence since 1963. We have recently undergone a complete renovation. At The Barrel we strive to provide excellent food and service with an affordable menu. ● Kids night every Thursday from 5-9 pm. Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree. (Limit 2 kids per entree. Drink not included) ● Happy Hour 2-5 pm. Absolutely love there steaks! My husband had the taco salad and the chili on it was awesome. My son loves the burgers and fries. Definitely try the Parmesan fries they are delicious. Good food and good service!!

The food and wait staff were awesome, but don’t send your kids into the bathroom alone its a two gender bathrooms both bathrooms. I went to use the bathroom and there were two other females in there when I went in. They left shortly after. I sit down in my not floor to ceiling stall to do business when a man walks in. Now Im assuming he didn’t know I was in there. I had a full blown panic attack while this man is doing his business because that was not okay. This is a bar where people drink. The bathrooms need to be gendered. Please excuse my spelling.

location serves raw undercooked burgers. always split your burger here and check it here. location needs to be mindful of undercooked beef burgers. If a customer does not mention temp. assume well done. if you arent temping your beef and checking the center you are opening up to get in some serious trouble. there is no excuse. send your cooks to serve safe.

A nice hopping place to eat! I stopped by for dinner one night and then lunch the next day. The grill is a small, well oiled machine, cranking out consistently good food. I tried the char cheeseburger and the chicken breast sandwiches. The staff was laidback and friendly during the busiest times of the day. Quiet enough to chat with some locals. Peaceful, family atmosphere. Good value and good food. For burgers and chips or steaks and baked, you won’t get “burned” eating here.

Nice clean place. I had the grillled chicken with cottage cheese (have to watch my figure-ha). The chicken was so moist and tender. I forgot how refreshing cottage cheese is as well. We come to Hastings annually for the fast pitch mens softball tournaments, this is always a go to place.

Went here for lunch and had a good hamburger with chips. It wasn’t greasy and if ya like potato salad there’s is a must have. The lunch menu is small so it’s easy to pick something out.

I just came back through town and was looking forward to an old favorite. I was dis-a-pointed. The food was not the same, nor was the “old decor” that has been drastically updated and brightened. The food is ok, but not the ole food we wanted and craved.
